    Gamefly

I've just started using this service and it seems really interesting. I've got a few questions for those that have already been using it:

When I started, I had 3 choices. Start the first month for 9.95 discount (1game), start first month with 14.95 discount(2games), or free trial for 10 days. I picked the 14.95, so does that mean I get no free trial?

Do the games come with manuals?

And umm.. that's it, rest I found in gamefly FAQ.

I'm excited now, CH2k6 was available

When you picked the $14.95 discount...you passed on the free trial. No the game doesn't come with manuals.. but you can look on their site and look under the "game description" and look for their game manual..which only let you know about the controls of the game. But hell that's all you need.

The only problem is that nothing else even comes close to being as good as Gamefly...unless you have a local video game store that does rentals which I used to have (Game Bros), but they closed down. Places like Blockbuster are expensive and have terrible selection. Gamefly pretty much has every game and they're also the cheapest place to buy games.

The turnaround time does kind of suck though, as it takes 5 days for me to get a new game from the time I put my old one in the mail.

As for your $14.95 discounted first month, you should have gone to Best Buy as you can buy 2 months prepaid with two games out for $19.95. Only for new subscribers though.

I don't think that has anything to do with GF, but more to do with the postal service. I restarted my subscription the Wednesday night before launch, my games shipped Thursday and were in my mailbox in time for launch on Monday.

How can Gamefly suck because it takes as many days as it does for the mail to get it to your door?

Anyway, Gamefly has a new shipping feature to speed up delivery. Now, when you return a game and the barcode on the sleeve gets scanned by your post office, Gamefly ships your next game out without having to physically have the returned game.

Well im not a big fan of Gamefly because of the postal times. But you all are right thats not their problem. Anyways I chose the free trial offer, it seemed like the best deal.

Also its really easy to get free games. If you really want to keep a game then go to report a shipping problem and click it never arrived. No questions asked, no fees, they will ship the next game ASAP. Just dont do it too many times because it says they will cancel your account. But I did it 3 times no problem.

And thank you so much for being the a-hole that gets my account closed when there REALLY were shipping problems. Someone at the post office or the mail man was jacking my games...it happened three times and boom...my account is closed. So thanks to you and all of the other a-holes that report the games lost but really keep the games, legitimate users that use the system correctly get punished. Wow...you're a big man.

                      Re: Gamefly

I've had more than 3 lost games. But I find out it's my post office. They lose the game in the building and I get them sometimes weeks later. But when I get them I play and send them back. I find it's best to get a PO Box. $26 for six months isn't bad. Sometimes I have a fear that my mailman is going to deliver my game to the wrong address. And if he does that it's never coming back. So if you're have problems, get a PO box. Yeah it sucks to have to go to the post office to get your game, but you tend to get it faster.

It's best to do that if you're in an urban area. If not, then just get them to send it to your house.

I believe they have an office in new jersey so that doesnt take 5 days. And I thought it was my post office but I went to a new one like gamefly and it took 2-3 days. Its a few bucks more though.
