Thinking about selling my 360...

Hey guys,
Are some of you regretting that you actually bought the 360. After a couple of days, I just feel that all the hype was not worth it and I have no damn time to enjoy it since I work and to school. So Before I put this on EBAY on monday, If any of you guys are interested, I am selling my System, Its a Core but I am also offering an additional Wireless controller, HD cables, Hard Drive, memory card, Remote for the DVD, and two Games, Madden and Call of duty. I am willing to overnight ship it on monday or if you live around the Los Angeles area and are interested then let me know and we can figure out a local pick up. Email me if you are interested.

If you wanna get a lot of money, which you could, your best bet is EBay. The systems are going for twice their value and they are actually selling.

each day the price keeps dropping and dropping, people are getting smarter...heck if I were you I would sell the HD alone, there going for like $200.

each day the price keeps dropping and dropping, people are getting smarter...heck if I were you I would sell the HD alone, there going for like $200.

Prices are going up and dropping everyday. Problem is Ebay is inflated with too many systems right now. Once most of them get sold and M$ doesn't provide another shipment till after 06 the prices will rise for those smart enough to wait and sell their systems right two weeks before Christmas. I may be wrong but we will see.

You honestly think Microsoft is going to let the Christmas season pass without another batch of 360's being released?

I find that hard to believe, and agree that eBay is the place to sell it. You can easily get retail, even if you set the retail price you paid as the starting bid.

I also find it hard to believe but I have done some research locally and all the in store mangers aren't expecting anything till 06. There has been a major shortage thus far and with the global launch in effect a lot of people in North American will still be left in the cold. Also another thing to take into consideration is all the rumors with the faulty 360s. MS has said its only a isolated few but can we believe them? Of course they aren't going to admit they put out a lot of faulty units. And if that is the case you think they will fix these issues and release a large amount of 360s by Christmas? All speculations but thats what business is.

So if I'm wrong and 360 over floods the shelves than I lost out but atleast I'll break even. But as of right now chances are higher that there will be a shortage come Christmas and prices will go up on Ebay.

Perhaps. I just think it would be a huge mistake on Microsoft's part to let Xmas pass by without more 360's being made readily available.

After Xmas, it is already January, and with PS3 penciled in with a spring 2006 release, gamers aren't going to have to wait long to buy a PS3 instead.

If I was on the fence about a 360 and found I couldn't go to the store and buy one through Xmas, I certainly would focus my attention towards a PS3 release instead.

Granted, people have their brand-preferences, but for those on the fence and that can't get a 360 in time for Christmas, I think there will be quite a few that take that ex-purchasing money and put it down for a PS3 guarantee.

From what I've heard Microsoft is telling videogame stores that they will probably get another small shipment in in the first couple of weeks of December. I've also heard places like Best Buy aren't expecting anymore until 06, possibly as late as Feb. That's another story though....

You make a good point about eBay. People are getting smart now, but they will become really stupid really quick once rich parents can't go out and buy a new xbox for their kids. Or if some older kids ask for games for Christmas and are desparite for the system. The holliday season always brings out the crazy overpaying in everybody. Come mid-December I think any eBayed 360's will see a peak in prices. Just my opinion though, it seems certain that Microsoft isn't going to meet the holiday rush, but maybe they get out enough to keep the crazyness to a minimum, who knows.

I understand what you are saying at it perfectly makes sense. Maybe in their point of view they find it more profitable to release right before the PS3 release, I don't know. Only the upcoming weeks will tell but as of right now everything is really limited, even hard drives.

I don't expect PS3 to even come here until next fall. I bet Spring is only for Japan, if they can even make that date.

I would wait one week before XMAS to sell it. There will be loons out there paying top dollar.
