Re: XBOX 360 Backwards Compatibility List - Patch 1
LOL, I swear some of you guys are so impatient. The damn 360's only been out for five weeks! Five Weeks! They already added some new titles to the list and I expect they will add more. Have some patience.Originally posted by candyman56 -

I have no patience, but when you have some awesome XBOX games coming in the next few months which won't be BC then that sux. I remember reading that MS told 3rd party developers that they could add the code to the XBOX games that would make the games compatible, but it doesn't seem like anyone has.Originally posted by aholbert32LOL, I swear some of you guys are so impatient. Re: XBOX 360 Backwards Compatibility List - Patch 1
MS did tell the 3rd party developers that. But what new game has come out since the 360 came out that isnt BC? We still havent gotten confirmation from EA that MVP or Arena arent football. Last we heard at OS was 6 weeks ago when EA confirmed that they are working on it and want to do it but its a difficult process. All im saying is its only been 5 weeks.Originally posted by candyman56I have no patience, but when you have some awesome XBOX games coming in the next few months which won't be BC then that sux. I'd bet the farm that MVP College Ball isn't BC when it comes out. I think we'd have it confirmed by now that it is if it truly worked.

Re: XBOX 360 Backwards Compatibility List - Patch 1
Maybe but if we know one thing its EA loves money. Do you actually think they would leave all of that potential money (360 owners) on the table? Please. If they can this game will be BC.Originally posted by penguitI'd bet the farm that MVP College Ball isn't BC when it comes out. I think we'd have it confirmed by now that it is if it truly worked.

Re: XBOX 360 Backwards Compatibility List - Patch 1
In all honesty I would have said that a months ago, but with the way 360 owners have been let down by EA with pretty substandard release games, I don't even know what to expect anymore.
I'd think it'd be a MUST for EA to make this game BC, but it just might be too hard. It would mean a TON of sales for EA if it was, that's for sure.
I guess I'm just being pessimistic with the hopes I could be pleasantly surprised...

Yes, you make a very solid point. I just bought an XBOX today to solve my BC problems, so I'm not too worried about it anymore.Originally posted by aholbert32MS did tell the 3rd party developers that. Re: XBOX 360 Backwards Compatibility List - Patch 1
The problem here is that everyone knows about the BC issues that the 360 is having so some might be very hesitant in buying XBOX1 games now. I was at the xbox.com forums and people are just really upset over how games are running on the emulator. Their going nuts over at that board. Then there was a guy that said he was having problems with some of the patches that he installed on the 360 that were causing his system to go nuts. He uninstalled them somehow and his system is ok. I don't know.Originally posted by aholbert32Maybe but if we know one thing its EA loves money. Do you actually think they would leave all of that potential money (360 owners) on the table? Please. I've had history with emulators on the PC, and I know it takes years to have them running right. Emu's are never perfected, so as long as the 360 has the EMU software running off the HDD via patches, there are going to be known problems with games. People need to realize that emulators are nice, but it takes time for these to work right.
I thought that a company like MS would have the EMU running really nice, but all I hear is of people having issues.
I ran all 3 GTA's, they look a little nicer, but they also look washed out (colors). Then we have a problem when you are driving, every few minutes the screen stutters, hiccups or lag. Halo 1 is now 4:3 instead of 16:9.
I think a year from now, the emulator will be functioning much better provide it that MS doesn't abandon this altogether. I have read that it is really hard write some code that will make these games run properly without affecting other games within the emulator.
That's why I just traded in my PS2 today and ebayed my games, and I purchased another XBOX since there are games sitting on my shelf that I want to play and there are games coming out over the next few months which won't be BC probably till the end of the year.
My take now, I bought a 360 to play 360 games. I just re-bought an XBOX to play XBOX games.Last edited by CaptainZombie; 01-08-2006, 06:34 PM.Comment

Re: XBOX 360 Backwards Compatibility List - Patch 1
im very upset at the bc so far. I only play sports games, and they have pretty mcuh none that i can play on the 360. I understand not wanting nfl 2k5, becuase then alot of people wouldnt buy madden for the 360, but they told us the most popular games would work. Re: XBOX 360 Backwards Compatibility List - Patch 1
When we found out that only some of the games were going to be BC at launch, I knew 90% of what I normally play would not even show up on the list. That's when I made my decision to keep my xbox and I am glad I did!“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment
