I just mightve watched 10 videos on Saints row from IGN/Gamespot/Gametrailers and this game has officially wowed me.
Heres some news on multiplayer:
In terms of multiplayer you'll have be able to engage with up to 12 players in gang style team versus team combat. As players win matches online they'll be able buy newer, flashier clothing, indicating to other players how much harder they rock. You'll have to build your online character from scratch because your single player game will not transfer over.
He says 7 different game modes for multiplayer
-Big *** chains ( concept= Everyone wears a chain around there neck, if you kill them its your chain/ which you can turn in for points.
-Bling my ride ( 2 gangs try to make a pimped out ride and take it to a location, whoever gets there first wins. But the point is you can destroy there cars on the way there. So basically you are riding to different places..to get parts for your cars and eventually getting to the finish line..
That was all he said in the video ( this was written by me..just the 7 diff game modes..it came from a interview) so 7 types.
I am very excited about this game, they have the Havoc system in there and a great physic system. I saw a video where the guy got hit by the car and it looked great...everything interacts with one another..so basically you can do anything in the city.
Also in one videos i thought was awesome..a head to head collision..in one of the cars an old fat women flew out of the windshield..pretty cool indeed.
This game is a little over the top with things flying around..but its alot different than GTA, you dont have to do missions..its conquering cities with your gang members basically...you get points for doing certain things in each city ( they said they have dozens) because the point is to get a recognized gang and own the city at the end.
This game might be the breath of fresh air ive needed..dont get me wrong i love the GTA series, but i disliked SA alot..vice/gta 3 was much better
Also i like how the main character is you..he can look like whatever you want him too ( in the videos the options are amazing for the face) and he can wear whatever you want..your gang is what you want..Total customization
