Nothing wrong with the memory card if you arent looking to download much of anything from Xbox Live, so it really depends on whether or not you are going to want to download things like demos and trailers.

Good point. HDD is best since you get all kinds of freebies off of xbox live.

              HDD.

Memory card is nice but sooner or later, you're going to wish you had an HDD. Might wanna invest money in that.

BTW Can you see halftime highlights on 2k games w/o a HDD? JW...

Memory Card is 64 MB, and according to the back of Madden it takes 4 MB and NBA 2k takes 2 MB but I should also point out that it doesnt specify whether thats for franchise or not. I case you were curious, Call of Duty takes 1 MB to save.

You say you aren't interested in Live, but the XBL Arcade is AMAZING! Plus free demos could keep you from spending $60 on a BAD game.

DUDE get the HDD. MS is one company that used it to a certain degree last gen, unlike another company that promised all kinds of things w/ their add on HDD.

                              Re: Hardrive or Memory card

I've read in a couple of developer interviews that having a hard drive will help with load speeds and how smooth the game runs. One was from a dev interview with a guy from the Oblivion team. Can't remember the other.

I guess if all you'll ever do is save a few game saves, then get the memory card. But if you think you'll ever want to get on xbox live for any reason, or use the sountrack function of your xbox, or save a lot of games, I would say get the hard drive.
