Microsoft Extended 2 yr Warranty for 360

I sent in my warranty card today with the $59 for the 2 year warranty. Can someone that has bought this for the original XBOX and has used it before how does it work?

How long does it take to get your system back?

Do they fix the system first and if they can't than just send you a new one?

I worry about the timeframe. Someone told me that it could take up to 62 days to get your system back.

Everyone I've heard who has sent theirs back say in about a week they get their system back.

Is this with the original XBOX? With the 360, they have had no choice but to turn these around within a few days.

62 days? This sounds excessive to me. It should not take over 2 months to fix a video game system. Anyway, I have sent in my warranty info and I was curious if anybody has received any information back from Microsoft?

I said the same thing. I would think a week or two at the most.

I was talking about the 360 but I wouldn't think the original Xbox would take all that much longer and in fact one would think it'd take less because by now i'm sure MS knows what is usually wrong with them.

I will say that Sony fixed my PS2 and shipped it back to me within a week as well so I'd think MS wouldn't want to be too far behind their competition in that regards. I'd guess 2 weeks at the most probably.

That sounds good. The dude at Gamestop told me 62 days and I was like are you smoking something. There is no way it would take that long.

The people at those stores I find are wrong about 99% of the time and that is on a good day. The amount of misinformation they shovel is unbelievable.

They probably told you that to get you to buy their protection plan I'll bet..

I wouldn't doubt it. I know the guy there just from going to the store, not friends or anything, but he does seem like he can be shaddy.

I recently bought an Xbox 360 from Walmart.com and my name and shipping address is printed on the receipt. I'm thinking about selling the Xbox on Ebay. Would the Ebay buyer be able to use the receipt(for warranty purposes) even though my name and address is on the receipt?

I was hoping that maybe someone who applied for a warranty already can give me more information.
