    Splinter cell 4 storyline

The new game informer gave us alot of info, so here is some great stuff...may include spoilers.

Storyline: Sam Fisher is on a mission when his daughter killed in an accident. He feels guilty etc, and it affects his work. Lambart fires him because he is unable to work anymore. Months pass and the pain hasnt gone, so he begs Lambart for his job back for somthing to help the pain. Lambart offers him a job as a NOC for the CIA. (A NOC is an undercover agent for the CIA, that is unofficial spy basically, if they are caught the govt disavows all thier actions, basically they infiltrate crime orginizations).

Thier is some group called the JBA. Fisher's job is to infiltrate them. The guy he needs to get to is in prison, so fisher must go there. Fisher takes part in a few staged bank robberies, and the last one has a 3 day hostage standoff.

PRISON: In prison, he roomates with the guy of the JBA, who he needs to convince to let fisher join, and fisher needs to beak him out of jail. To do this fisher starts a riot! I guess the prison part of the game is actually a big part, with a huge break-out story to it, etc. G.I. was saying this part was visually amaizing with over a hundred prision members rioting! Obvioulsy you guys can imagine how cool this prison and breakout parts will be, but the magizine does a great job of giving you a feel for it.

JBA: Now you are working for the JBA, and as a NOC secretly too. This part of the game puts a huge emphasis on choice. You can chose , on a mission, to take orders from either side, and so on. Choices affect how the game plays, and even what ending you recieve. So the replay ability will be high obviously.
I got this from a guy on teamxbox.com forums and he posted this..

Ironically, this game sounds interesting. Will be hard not to get into it so quick. I just got the first Splinter Cell as well as a couple of Ghost Recons to keep me interested and occupied this holiday season. Very ready to check them out. I'm a little behind but I'm definitely keeping an eye on these joints.......

Holy cow, there is no way that's in game. That looks amazing. This game looks to be a riot (no pun intended).

Hopefully Ubisoft makes a true non-linear game ala Hitman 2...and a campaign mode that doesn't make the first game look brillant. It's time to focus back on the single player, the novelty of multiplayer has long worn out.

The second one looks like art to me, although the rain and shader effects look very similar to what was shown in the ATi Toy Shop demo. I really don't see why Ubi couldn't produce the visual fidelity that is shown in that pic, especially after how good SC3 looks. My only complaint is the plastic action figure look to the models.

They showed the trailer for this last night on Spike during the VGA after show and it was called Splinter Cell Double Agent or something like that so the story sounds right.

Man I can't wait for this game. It sounds like it should be better than all the other ones.

A buddy showed me some scans from GI. The game looks pretty damn good, hopefully it comes out in March. This and Ghost Recon should make for a fun Spring.

His winter gear looks pretty neat.

I'm a huge fan of the series, but this one looks to take it to the next level. Although Chaos Theory was great, the linear nature of the story was starting to get a little tiresome. This sounds like the perfect direction for the series. Does this story sound 24-esque to anyone else?

                            1UP has a preview up.

All those images in GI are from the PS2 version .

When a handful of screenshots of the game were leaked online recently, players had trouble determining which version of the game they were from. Given the less-than-impressive standards that have been set for next-gen games by certain Xbox 360 titles, some fans believed the screens were from the Xbox 360 version of the game, despite looking extremely similar in quality to the Xbox version of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. According to Roy, those screens are actually from the PlayStation 2 version of the game. "It's great to see our PS2 screenshots look as good as an X360 game, but when you see the SC4 X360 screenshots, you'll notice the difference, trust me... the Chaos Theory engine has indeed given us a great head start; on the X360 hardware, we've been having a great time finding new ways to make it sing," he says.

If those screens are from the PS2 build, I can't wait to see the 360 version...
