    Splinter Cell

I have only played the 1st game in the series. Does SC2 & 3 continue the story about Sam Fisher throuhout all 3 games?

Same character, different story. Its not a continuing story if that's what you're asking.

Is the gameplay as good as the 1st one for Pandora and Chaos?

I'd say it's even better. The first one was good, but the gameplay just kept evolving, and I'd actually prefer the current moreso than the original. It has definately progressed. They are worth picking up. I haven't really played Chaos Theory, but Pandora Tomorrow was a blast.

Definitely pick both of them up. Every game in the series is great with Chaos Theory being the best of them all.

BTW, Splinter Cell 4 will be out in early March. I can't wait!

Another thing, if you haven't played the 3 bonus levels for Splinter Cell 1, you need to do that. I believe that you can download them off Xbox Live and if you don't have that, you can buy a disk at EB Games for just a few dollars which will have the extra levels.

I got to the part in SC1 where you have to protect the scientists and soldiers at the same time and tried it about 150 times and just gave up. I may pick them back up now that they're BC though.

Probably my favorite video-game series (outside of sports games) ever.

I would say, though, that in my opinion Pandora Tomorrow was a step-back from the original Splinter Cell (I'm talking only in terms of single-player here). The team that made the original Splinter Cell did not make Pandora Tomorrow, and for me it shows. There definitely are some cool new tricks in the game, and aspects of the graphics and animations are better, but to me the AI and some other aspects were less well put-together than in the original Splinter Cell.

That said, Chaos Theory (which marked the return of the original Splinter Cell team) is flat-out amazing. Improves on the original in every respect, and it's easily the best game in the series. I'm on the third-level of it right now.

I have all three. The 2nd one is great, but on a single player level, its not that much of an improvment over the first one, but the third one, OMG, is amazing.

Refresh my memory a little bit more. I cannot remember that part of the game for some reason.

I remember that part. The trick is to plant a couple wall mines before the guys with guns come in, that way you only end up needing to deal with a couple of 'em. Still took me about 10 or 12 tries to get past it.

I went nuts trying to get past it. It's 4.99 used at EB so I'll probably buy it and SC3 for online stuff today.

Would you all recommend Choas Theory? It's Backwards Compatible, and I still haven't played it yet. Is it worth picking up?

Definitely. If you liked anything about the prior Splinter Cell games, go get it. If you haven't played any of them, then definitely go get it.

Just a heads up for anyone interested. I just picked up SC Chaos Theory for 12 bucks at Blockbuster. The tag had 39.99 on it, but when it rung up it was 14.99 plus they were having a sale of 25 percent off each used game.
