Im getting my 360 next week...

And i wanna put mine horizontal because wont it being vertical scratch the CD when it goes in. Because when ps2 was vertical the CD was not even in the tray and would flop and look bad when it got into the ps2.

Or am i wrong..does the 360 do something to get the CD right in there and make it work?

with the 360 vertical, IT WILL NOT SCRATCH the disc. it only scratches if you tip the 360 over while it is running

I gotcha but what about you putting the CD in the tray and then making it go into the 360.

I dont know if you have seen or had a ps2 run vertical..But you put the CD into it vertical and the CD would be floping out, and be only supporting the bottom side of the disc. So the top would be just hanging out..and it would look bad when you made it go into the ps2..because the CD was not stable what-so-ever. Hence why your CD's would be scratched up..because the entering of the CD into the ps2.

Mine will be horizontal (when I hopefully get it next week). It won't fit in my TV stand with all my other components unless it's horizontal.

vertical, although I have to pull it out of my entertainment center. Less noise and it stays cooler.

My current Xbox is in the bottom left hand corner of that image. That's where I'd put the 360 when I get it.

Mine makes less noise when vertical for some reason???

I just switched to vertical, and had the same thing. Especially the DVD Drive ... it's a lot quieter vertically.
