Xbox 360 Unofficial 2nd Launch

Best Buy selling all these consoles on Sunday is the biggest known release since the launch in November. As of now I'm planning on camping again (last time I got a core and sold it since I really wanted a premium...long story).

If anyone has talked to their local Best Buy can you tell us what they've told you so far about how they're going to handle it? If you're going to camp what time are you planning on getting there? If you plan on checking the local BB's before actually deciding when you're camping please post when you start to see people there. I have a feeling we'll start seeing people lining up as early as tomorrow early afternoon.

I am also camping out im going to go either at 7PM on Saturday and see if there is a line if not then im gonna come back at 12PM. I dunno if have the nuts to sleep outside espcially at a good 15 degrees so im cosidering sleeping in my car till about 5 in the morning.

I called my local BB (Flower Mound, TX)...the guy said they have "about 30" which according to the numbers I've seen online they have 38....he also didn't seem like he had talked to a ton of people either (it's a really new, small BB so maybe people in the area still don't know). He said camping is allowed and the store will open at 8. He recommended getting there before 5am.

Since it's so close I'll probably drive over there several times tomorrow after about 5pm. Depending on how the line looks everytime will determine when I stay.

I called my local one (which is really far away from me in the first place) and I asked him how many Xbox 360s he was planning to get and he said: "I don't think we'll be recieving any, sir."

Such bull****.

OUT OF MOTHERSUCKING CONTROL!! I couldn't do it. In Chicago and surrounding suburbs, toes are curling and sacs are frozen if you stay outside too long. You sleeping in a tent right? That's not too bad, but when do you know when to wake up? Some straight up stuff on the real.

Im gonna bring it but i dont know if im gonna set it up depending on the amount of people i might sleep in the car and my cell has a alarm clock so thats covered. My friend is bringing his portable DVD player so we should be set

Right on Mist. It's going to be 20 degrees here on Sunday with snow. I'm glad I camped out at the Best Buy in Ford City, IL 11/21 from 11:30 a.m. for the midnight opening when it was about 40-50 degrees outside. There's a big difference when it's 20 degrees, snowing, and no sun at all to keep you somewhat warm.

Yup thanks i think there might be 3 us camping with me being the only one buying cuz the other 2 are broke but yeah it should be a damn adventure

Yup, the wife of a co-worker was assaulted/mugged at a local Best Buy (In Merrillville, Indiana) a few weeks ago while she was waiting in line for the store to open. Crazy people are running rampant !!!!

Because alot of ppl have cash on them. Just think of 10 ppl with at least $500 a piece. $5000. So if you got cash hide it please. If so use a debit card.

That's the reason that I never carry any cash around me. Not even dollar bills. It's like having the scent of meat on your hands while you're in the jungle. Man, if they smell it on you, you're dinner. Heck, I definitely learned my lesson after I heard my "cousin" robbed some white guy at an atm in the south (or so he said). Try to keep as little of anything on me. Plus, I think I need to start carrying around my Louisville like I planned on doing from years ago.

I buy everything at BB with my BB credit card. You get 90 days no interest financing on all purchases over $299 and they're always running specials for 12, 18 and 24 months no interest. I can always pay them off immediately but I take advantage of the promotions to pay it over time...even if my money is just sitting in savings at least it's making money for me instead of them getting it right away!
