The reason why there is so much hype around Halo is the fact that its the only game MS can brag about/has. This is the reason you see all the hootin and hollerin about it/people with only 1 console.

Goldeneye 64 is the best FPS......

Halo is overrated though.I love FPS but to me halo is just another FPS to me.

I may be in the minority by saying PD0 has the best multiplayer console experience to date.

I would rather the 360 have a price cut the day PS3 comes out, but Halo 3 would be nice.

Thats the commom misconception. Ppl remember all the hours spent playing Goldeneye with buddies and how fun it was and etc....but I swear to you if you popped it in right now, you would be bored of it in a few hours. I played it about a month ago with 3 buddies and we relived the past but it was short lived and we quickly returned to current gen. Goldeneye had its time but to say its the best FPS today is stretching it.

Just talkin about FPS in general....brings nothing new to the table IMO....

agreed. I play goldeneye and 64 games in general every now and then w/ some friends and they are fuzzy and slow.

Better worded, you have a point. MS doesn't have a AAA knock-out franchise other than Halo...which I think peaked sales wise with 2.

That isn't to say they won't score a mega-hit with the new projects, BUT it will take some word of mouth before it becomes a mainstream hit. By then PS3/Revo will be availible.

I love Halo, but I hope Bungie is allowed to make the games they want to make for the 360, instead of just Halo.

Bungie is very talented, and I would like to see them do something new and original.

That will probably go something like this though...

Bungie: "We want to do something else besides develop another Halo game. This is a new generation, and we want to start fresh, sir."

True,I don't understand what's the big deal,I bought and played Halo2,waste of money. I couldn't understand what the hype was about.

If you ever played halo or halo 2 with a large group of friends, you will know what the big deal is about. The single player imo sucks but the multiplayer aspect makes it the best game out.

Halo 1 single player was alot of fun. Halo 2 I never finished.
