Mre Online Players Per Game? (360)
Now that we're in the next generation of gaming, when will we see the capabilitie of more online players per game? Are there any shooters in the works that will support 32-64 players online like a Battlefield? That would be awesome if Call of Duty would allow more players.. This is my only gripe about FPS on Live... I wish games allowed more players per map.Tags: None -

I think the new innovation to console games will come way of MMORPGs and sport oriented MMOs. 5 on 5 basketball, 9 on 9 baseball, etc. Final Fantasy as well as Phantasy Star and Everquest are examples of console MMORPGs already on the market. Sooner or later, some companys will start dwelving into this unknown territory.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

I'm sure 99% of the ppl who sign up to play would wanna be the main scorer but the solution is quite simple. Just as in UBO, have a RPG style level up sytem and there will be many guys who primary focus is on defense, rebounding, steals, blocks or other non-offensive tactics. From a lobby, have 2 team captains form a squad out of a group of ballers and pick 4 a piece and play.
You could have league play with a sqaud that you're fimiliar with where everyone knows there role and it could be fun. My personal addition to sports MMOs would be to have guys who would like to coach as well and call plays, make subs and the like. Although no one would wanna join a team to sit on the bench so my guess is strictly 5 on 5 teams.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Even for people that know something about roundball, it would still be difficult to coordinate plays and other things. 3 on 3 halfcourt sounds like the best route to go.
I`ve seen people online play with 2 or 3 people on one team and its looks very unorganized. Ofcourse they might not have been very knowlegeable about the game. To play a 5 on 5 game people would have to know the difference between a point guard and a power forward and most people don`t.Comment

Well basketball would be the toughest since the play is so open and you dont need plays and organization to complete a game. Football and Baseball would be great. Only thing is: Who wants to play an entire game as a offensive lineman?http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

As for the basketball game, it would probably only work 5 on 5 if you went in with 4 friends who could actually agree on how to play. If not 5 on 5, then a street type game would work well.Comment
