Madden NFL 06"

Re: Voting For EA vs. 2K on IGN....
i would disagree to a certain extent that ea hasn't pushed the envelope with other games besides mvp. to be honest, I wasn't all that impressed with mvp. It had some great ideas and concepts like the arc pitching meter, but off the field, the game was very shallow. if mvp could of had the on-field expierence that it had along with the off-season engrossment of all star baseball, then that would have been great.
with that being said i also think that nascar has gotten significantly better with each passing year, though they need to take the complete jump from arcade to simulation
madden has been a success for years and is my all time favorite football game. people say that it doesn't change or do anything different from year to year but i disagree. they fixed the "mario running", madden has the deepest franchise mode of just about any sporting title, superstar mode is a great idea that will only get better, and the on the field and off the field representation of the actual nfl is outstanding, imo
now i agree that live and march madness have been disappointments though i think live is coming around. march madness is becoming a lost cause.
for the nay-sayers with madden and live, lets see what they do on the next gen systems, and i am talking about the coming year, not the launch titles. sporting launch titles have generally been a skeleton of their old self, so i am not going to worry about ea with these titles until i see what happens in 2006I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I hope EA never makes another PC Nascargame again and they probably won't cause they pi$$ed off the sim racing fans.
Their console games IMO are where they tend to do their best and Nascar 05 & 06 are both quite solid and fun. Hopefully with the Next Gen systems we'll see PC quality grahics this time around.Comment

Please. Let me turn off slow car boost. I don't need to get cheated out of a win to enjoy myself.
The things they need to focus on are making a career mode that half assed makes since, firstly. Seconly the physics need a major, extreme overhaul, and thirdly, I'm not a 3rd grader so let me freaking adjust my camber. jesus christ. I'd like more of a sim aspect than the 7 or whatever categories offered.Last edited by KENYON06; 12-23-2005, 09:43 AM.Comment
