For those wanting a 360. toy-r-us seem to have

    FYI

Went last minute christmas shopping for my newphew and niece at toys-r-us. Went and puchased another game for the DS. While standing in line, the dude at the counter put up a sign saying 360 bundles were available. This store ( pembroke lakes mall in south florida) had 8. For those of you still seeking one, today might be a good day to pass by and see if they have last minute shipments

Only downside is that it is a bundle, you need to buy 4 additional games along with the system.

Random question: Any idea when all these places will STOP forcing these bundles on people? Business ethics? What's that.

no clue, and not even sure of the legal ramifications of this. I would think that if you dont open the games, you can return them. These bundle things are a pain in the *** though. But either way, I am still not picking one up.

No legal ramifications. You dont have to buy the bundles if you dont want too.

Well, I think what is meant by legal ramifications is a question over returning parts of the bundles. Can you get a cash refund if you return the games that are unopenned? Will it just be for store credit? Will they give you a really hard time and try to start quoting random store policies? If you pay with a credit card then there should be some more options for you then if you just debit the purchase. In terms of the bundles I just don't think many people understand exactly what their consumer rights are.

It's illegal if their ad shows the system not in a bundle. Best Buy does that all the time.

I bought a TRU bundle and returned the games without any problems. I used the gift receipt, so I only got store credit, but oh well.

Quick question, is this a good Deal or a bad deal?

I can get an xbox 360 premium pack with tiger woods, perfect dark zero, madden and nba 2k6 for 500 U.S.

is it worth the extra 100 or would i be getting ****ed?

That's 4 games. They're worth on the order of 4 x 60 (about), $240. What it amounts to is paying $100 for those games. Sounds like a bargain to me. I'd do it as long as you really want 1 or 2 of those games. The others you can sell on Ebay.

I think you have the deal mixed up. When I was buying some of those $10 games at Toys R Us I mentioned to the sales guy this should hold me until I can find a 360. He told me that had 360's in but it came with 4 games you picked for $600. I dont know if the price went up if you picked the $60 games instead of the $50 ones. My problem was there just isnt 4 games I gotta have right now.

So they are trying to sell you the core system and 4 games for $500, or you got a cashier that doesnt know what they are talking about.

When I bought my bundle at TRU, they would not take back the games even though the items were all rung up separately. We went back and forth a couple times. I was not even looking for cash back, I just wanted to trade the games. I finally went to Wal-mart and they exchanged them.

Just get the extra games. Ask for a gift receipt. Have a friend/girlfriend/wife/fiance use the gift receipt to take the unwanted games back and save the store credit. I'm sure you guys will use it
