For Those of Us Without HDTVs... (Regarding 360)
If any of you are playing 360 on a standard tv, how do the graphics look? I only ask because I'm in college, I can't afford an HDTV, and even if I could, having both a 360 AND an HDTV in my dorm would be risky to say the least.Tags: None -

We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year. Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here. -

Originally posted by Victor99I have a 27" Sony Wega with component inputs. Looks pretty good IMO, but still nowhere near the level of HDTV. It's not a system killer though IMO, I can certainly deal with it until I get a new TV. My Wega is only about 3 years old.Comment

Re: For Those of Us Without HDTVs... (Regarding 360)
Originally posted by goopaluchieI spent ALL my money on the system, accessories, and games. I don't play on-line so I saved money there. My TV is 4 to 5 years old. It doesn't have a flat screen, no special tubes to make the picture look sharper. It's a Magnavox 15 or 16 inch TV. It has color and it turns on when I play my games. That's all that matter's to me.. (IMO) I bought COD2 and my TV graphics look better than a computer. But the games developer's spent time in making that game look AND play EXCELLENT. I also had NFSMW and that to looked awesome! For lack of a better term. The environments like the rain and the sun, the cars, and the world they made you drive in all looked great. And I have "boycotted" EA games for 15 years. But after buying COD2, I wanted to get a different type of game for launch. So those games to me looked quite nice and I didn't own a HDTV. Here is something that may help you to get the best picture. I don't know what your TV setting is just don't use/buy the RF switch that they are going to be selling. The graphics take 5 steps backwads(from the Playstation). You aren't able to even see your screen. Well I hope this helps and have a HAPPY CHRISTMASComment

The big difference between standard and HDTV is the vividness of the picture. NBA 2K6 still looks amazing on my 20" Sanyo Flat Screen TV.Originally posted by billmaticRadman is more like the ******** homeless man's version of Okur.Comment

My feeling is that if you want the 360, you should get it. But if knowing you don't have the best graphics possible is really gonna bug you, don't get it. I'm not a graphics whore myself, so I wouldn't care too much"You can not ensure success, but you can deserve it." - John Quincy Adams
