Re: Question about using 360 with a monitor

I haven't tried that, although I am planning on doing that today or tomorrow, just haven't gotten around to it. I've heard mixed results on doing that.Originally posted by warnerwlf98

Re: Question about using 360 with a monitor

 bkrich 83,
just wondering what size monitor you have with the resolution of 1024x768/normal. i have a dell, 15 inch with the 1024x768 resolution and was wondering if it would be a good investment to get these cables...some people say that since my screen is only 15 inches, the picture quality won't be that great because i would have to sit pretty close to the screen...they say that it would almost be better to play it on an sdtv and sit far away to notice less of the aliasing and what not...any thoughts would be great...Comment

Re: Question about using 360 with a monitor

Just a little insight for Jets fan. I tried the same setup you're talking about because I didn't find the HDTV I was looking for. So I purchased the Microsoft VGA connector. I hooked it up to my 17" Viewsonic LCD Monitor and it worked to a tee.

The only problem I had with my setup was playing on a 17" Flat Panel. Funny thing is I also play computer games on it and thoght the size wouldn't bother me but it did. Then I found a 27" Widescreen HDTV LCD with PIP Tuner 9ms refresh rate with surround sound for $500. Awesome TV/Monitor, needless to say I took back my cables.Comment

Re: Question about using 360 with a monitor

 Ok I have it.

For sound, I have computer speakers. But how do I use them? It's not hooked up to a computer, I just have the speakers seperate.

Is there something on the adapter that I can plug the speakers into?? I just see something that would plug into a sound card or whatever?Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
