    The Sims 2; Installation Problems

I got my daughter a Toshiba notebook for xmas (L25 - s1193 model) I am trying to install the the sims 2 on it. The first and second disc load fine but when I attempt to load the 3rd disc it won't load, the system just stops as if it isn't reading the disc. Then I attempted to install it a second time, now it won't even read the second disc. The notebook came with window xp home edition. Any help you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a home PC to try install it on? If the same thing happens on the PC then I would say there is something wrong with the discs. If it installs fine on the PC I would say there is something wrong the CD/DVD drive of the Toshiba.

Thanks for the response Fishepa. I have a PC but there is no memory left on it to even attempt to run the sims 2. I don't know. I will attempt to call ea games to see if they have a solution. When you have a little girl that is disappointed it tugs at ya, daddys are supposed to have all of the answers as far as they are concerned. Computers are my weak point. Again, thanks for the help.

Hey Fishepa, you were right on track. I took the notebook and the game to the geek squad at BestBuy, the only problem was the discs were dirty. The geek cleaned off the disc and bam! the game loaded. Thanks again for the response.
