    Perfect Dark Zero

I know at one point there was a PDZ thread up here, but I can't seem to find it.

Anyway, I just cracked the game open and am not sure what to think about the first two single-player missions. I'm hoping that I'm just "not getting it" and that it'll catch on eventually. But, if not, there's always the multi-player which I have yet to try.

In any case, I had a few questions about the single-player game:

    1) Can anyone tell me how they changed their gameplay settings to make aiming easier?

    2) Does anyone actually enjoy the single-player game?

    Thanks.

    Re: Perfect Dark Zero

    1) Go to options and click on player setup, then controls. I think these are the best settings.

    2) Single player is alright, it definitely gets better, but multiplayer is where it's at.

I tried everything I could to enjoy that game, single and multi player... The game is just not good at all.... I sold my copy on ebay after 2 weeks.... and got $50 for a game that I paid $35 for...

imo, this is the WORST 360 game out right now.

I really dont get what people see in PDZ.

Yep, I tried hard to like PDZ, but in the end I decided to trade it in before it lost its value. There are tons of better fps games on the pc.

Well, just to throw my two cents in, after adjusting the settings using the suggestions posted above, I actually really like the game. It's not COD2 good, but now that I can aim, I'm having fun with it. And you can't beat the music.

See .... I was enjoying the heck out of PDZ. Thought it was clever, and had some interesting gameplay mechanics.

Then I played Call of Duty 2.

                      Now ....

After now playing a good solid amount of PDZ with the new aiming settings, I pretty firmly believe this game has gotten a raw deal, probably because the default settings are poor and Call of Duty 2 makes the game look bad in comparison (single player only).

So yeah, if I had to choose between PDZ and COD2 for a first-person single-player shooter it would be COD2, but I also think PDZ is a lot of fun too if you get rid of all the preconceived notions that have been spread around the net.

My question to all you guys who are treading all over the game is whether you played it with the corrected aiming settings? Once I changed the settings and took just a few minutes to learn how to aim in conjunction with the "fast-turn" system (don't push the left-stick all the way unless you want to 180 - it's really not that hard), I had a ton of fun. I will say that the character graphics are subpar (along with the voice-acting . . .ugg), but this leads to overlooking much of the rest of the graphics, which are generally above average and sometimes excellent. And one more thing - people may laugh at me, but I'll say it anyway - in many respects (but not all - see voice acting) this game simply exudes style. The music, the variety of weapons (also awesome and overlooked), and other little touches (love the animation when Jo attaches the silencer) are all very cool.

I'm not trying to debate any of you guys who hated the game. I've disliked plenty of games that others have liked, so to each his own. I just wanted to post my experience with the game so far. If you're looking at purchasing this partly for the single-player game, I would say that, so long as you don't go into it saying "this game must be as good or better than COD2 in all respects, or else it totally sucks," you can actually have a lot of fun with it.

I gameflyed this game. Mostly for the Multiplayer. COD2 would be hands down the winner, but with their horrible interface on XBL........PDZ might be pretty damn good. FPS's I mostly play only on XBL. However, I love COD2 single player, and have been able to deal somewhat with their XBL interface.
