Due to the fact have a lot of trips coming up and i think i have the first MP3 player ever made, I'm looking into buying a PSP. My question is: What accesories do I need to get? Are there any "must-have" games? I'm thinking of Madden and Lumines (sp?) right now (and of course WE9 when it comes out in Feb.). Are there any others? I really don't know that much about the system, so should I get any memory sticks, extra batteries, etc... Thanks fellas, any help would be appreciated.

basically get memcard(1 gig at least) and really that's it. That's all you need for psp is memory and the psp itself of course.Comment

1 gig memory stic
Lumines (if you like puzzle games, this is the BEST. But only get it if you think you want a nice puzzle game)
Grand Theft Auto: LCS (once you get used to it, it's like you're playing the console version on-the-go)
i don't have playgear pocket. I'm gonna check that out.Xbox 360 GamertagRAW 910

If you like Lumines, you should pickup Ultimate Block Party, it's 29.99. Awesome puzzle game.

Re: Buying a PSP: What do I need to get?
Hope this helps......
Here's what I've picked up....
1gb mem stick
Logitech Carrying Case
All in One 6ft cable made by Datel (charges PSP while connected to PC)
Games:
Grand Theft Auto LCS
Virtua Tennis
Socom
Hot Shots Golf
Namco Museum (a little old school flavor)
Smackdown vs RAW 06 (didn't think I'd like it...got is as a gift and it's actually FUN!)
...I'm enjoying all of these games but HSG, Virtua Tennis and Socom have been in my rotation for a while.Comment

Re: Buying a PSP: What do I need to get?
Allright, went out and got it today. Here's what I got:
PSP
Playgear Pocket
Madden
Lumines
All in one cable from Datel
No memory stick yet, the sole reason being that they didn't have a 1 gig stick at Best Buy, the highest they had in stock was a 512mb (besides the $230 4 gig one) So I am gonna see how much I like it before spending the equivalent of another PSP on memory. I'll prob pick up a 1 gig stick in Dallas while I'm there this week.
As for games, I'll prob get hot shots/virtua tennis/GTA when i get the next paycheck
Thanks to everyone for the help, and keep this going for anyone else looking to buy a PSP.Calvin- "You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocketship underpants don't help."Comment

Re: Buying a PSP: What do I need to get?
If your not going to be watching movies from your DVD collection/From the Web on your psp or if your not going to be playing dumps, homebrew, apps etc. then you dont need to buy an extra memory stick. The 32 MB stick will do fine for your saves and you will never run out of space.
By the way what is your Firmware version? Its under System Info or something similar.Comment
