Internet availability???

I live out in the boonies and we don't get any high speed internet unless we pay 80 bucks a month for satelite. COX cable came out but we are 2 miles out of range. does anybody no of anything coming out at a reasonable price. Because I am dying to get XBOX live.

Have you considered High Speed DSL? If you have a phone line i'm sure Qwest or a major phone carrier in your area offers DSL. Most phone companies in Florida are now offering Hi Speed DSL for around $35 per month.

How much is that Verizon joint?? They have a nation wide internet service now. What cable company do you have by the way? There are always things out there.......

I believe MCI is now offering internet service. Also call Road Runner/Time Warner. Verizon is not offering insane internet DSL packages if they are available in your area. Is Comcast in your area?

thanks for responding, but I don't get Roadrunner or Comcast. I guess I'm screwed.
