No.
Dreamcast and XBOX......2 systems that never received the respect from developers, never realized the full potential, and both ahead of their time.Last edited by CaptainZombie; 01-11-2006, 02:36 AM.Comment

Re: Anyone still have a dreamcast???
I have a Dreamcast but last time I checked (way back before I even got my Gamecube, it's been at least 3 years) it didnt work. I remember switching it for a working one but I dont remember when I did that. Maybe I'll fire it up right now...
EDIT: I can turn it on and get it into the "play/settlings/music" screen but when I go to "play", even if it has a disc in it, it's not reading it. It keeps saying "insert disc" so I dont know. Anyone know how I might be able to fix it?
EDIT 2: Used this site ( http://www.geocities.com/dcentraltutor/ ) and got it to work!Last edited by TheMatrix31; 01-11-2006, 05:35 AM.Comment

Re: Anyone still have a dreamcast???
Ah, the list of the top 50 DC games -- not sure whose opinion -- on that Geocities site that Matrix listed brings back some memories:
-Soul Calibur -Tennis 2k2 -Shenmue 2 -Resident Evil : Code Veronica -Dead Or Alive 2 Reg or LE -Skies of Arcadia -Shenmue -Crazy Taxi 2 -Jet Grind Radio (Jet Set Radio) -Headhunter -Sonic Adventure 2 -Metropolis Street Racer -Rez -NBA 2k2 -Tony hawk pro skater 2 -Gauntlet Legends - Grandia 2 - Crazy Taxi -Phantasy Star Online V1 or V2 - Marvel VS Capcom 2 -Ikaruga -Capcom Vs. SNK 2 -NFL 2K2 -NHL 2k2 -House of the Dead 2 -Test Drive Lemans (24 le mans) -Virtual Tennis - Test Drive V-Rally 2 -Resident Evil 3 Nemesis -Powerstone 2 -Bomberman Online -Typing of the Dead -Daytona USA 2001 -Sonic Adventure 1 -Resident Evil 2 -Unreal Tournament -Rayman 2 -Zero Gunner 2 -Vanishing Point -StarWars Jedi Power Battles -Super Robot Wars Alpha -Ultimate Fighting Championship -Mr. diller cdda -Samba De Amigo -SanFransico Rush 2049 -Quake 3 Arena -18 Wheeler -Capcom vs. Millenium Fight 2000 Pro -Mars Matrix -Tokyo Extreme Racer 2
The DC is the best system I've ever owned, and I go back to the Atari 2600 days. So many good, unique games, such as Seaman, Sega Marine Fishing, Vanishing Point, Le Mans 24 Hours, Typing of the Dead, Shenmue, Metropolis Street Racer, Jet Grind Radio, etc., etc. Plus with online gaming, the controller with triggers and a VMU, four controller ports, small size, etc., etc.
Man, that console was so far ahead of its time. What a great machine.
Like many in this thread, I really rue the day I sold my DC to help fund my purchase of a PS2. It's the only console I regret selling.
Take care,

one of those fake joysticks blew my controller ports... it was the HUGE ORIGINAL XBOX sized dreamcast joysticks that blew it, but there was a store around me called "microcenter" that replaced the ports for me for like 15 dollars...http://www.myspace.com/phillthegenesis

Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Anyone still have a dreamcast???
Mine is still working perfectly. I bring it out every now and then. With my son getting into gaming, I may bring it back out and keep it out for us to play. Too many unique games that are perfect for younger kids.
I think I still have about 30 games for it, a lot of which I snagged cheap once it was announced they were being dicontinued. I got Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for $5The DC still has the only worthwhile Spawn game. The only thing lacking was a real good wrestling title.

Mine still works like a champ. It is hooked up to the TV in my bedroom. Sometimes when I can't sleep I fire up some Sega Bass Fishing or Virtua Tennis. There is still some fun left in the old Dreamcast.Comment
