Wait, wait, wait...why do you not have a power supply? if all that was wrong with the PS2 was the crack, why did he open the system up and rip out the power supply?

The guy was selling the system by itself, the guy told me he didn't own and got the system for free, so he was selling it. He said the system was just craked and that was all that was wrong with it he was told. How did he rip me off, I bought the system for $30 broken, to me thats not bad. Plus the guy didn't open the system up either, the seal was still intacted, without no tempering.

Anyway I just came back from Bestbuy and bought the Datel Power supply for the PS2 slim.....I pluged the system up with power and video cords, the system turned on without any issues, I turned it on and off several times with not one issue. The only problem is, I didn't bring enough money with me to buy a controller....DUH...lol.. So the system powers on and I get the sony screen, and thats as far as I can get right now, until i get a controller and a game, I could always test it out with a DVD, right? I hear the fan running and all, the system seems like it's going to work.


what do you mean when you say rip out the power supply, I think we are not understanding eachother somewhere....lol

You could use a DVD...unless the parental controls are set and you have to input a password.

Which would also suck 'cause then you'd have to try and find out what the password was.

I didn't realize the slim PS2 had an actual power supply, my PS2, and the 2 I've had before it have had just the exact cord I linked you. No need to get all defensive about it. Glad it works.

I still can't, because when you put the DVD in, you have to hit the x button on the controller to get the the system browser.

I did, and the sony browser screen come up, and you have to hit x and I can't without a controller. Im going to get a cheap controller for now to test.

well I a controller and the system does seem to work, the disk aren't spinning. Oh well I willl put back on ebay with the new case.

Yeah, something else is wrong inside that thing. Better explain all that in your ebay auction. I figured if it was only cracked, that $25 was way too cheap. Hopefully you can get your money back in the auction.

the person that buys it next will get the disc thing to work, its like the circle of life....one man breaks it, one mand sells it, one man fixes half, another man fixes the rest and either keeps it or sells it
