red tint on component tv input

I know this problem isn't directly related to video games but I hope someone can help me out anyway.

I've got a 27" Sony Wega and i've noticed that the screen has a red tint to it through only one of the four video inputs (component input). At first I thought it was a problem with my Xbox 360 component cables but then I unhooked the 360 and the problem is still there. All the other unused inputs show a black screen like they are supposed to. Then I change it to the component input and it is black for a split second then fades into the red tint. I've thought about just avoiding the problem and settling for S-VIDEO but I don't want to sacrifice picture quality.

Does anybody know what the problem could be and a way I could possibly fix it?

I had the same problem with my Samsung Tv, I believe you have to go into the tv setup menu. You must have the component input cables hooked up prior to setting up either component 1 or 2. The screen will flicker or blink as it searches for the signal. It should say either 4:3, 16:9 and then component. I know our tv's are different but I hope this helps.

Find some discreet codes for your model so you can go into the hidden menu and correct the issue. Go to google and type in your model number and make and service menu code, or discreet codes.
