    Best PSP games?

Just copped a PSP...what are the best games? I'm already getting GTA, but:

-NBA Live or NBA 06' the life?

    -Which Roleplayer is best?

-FF Tactics or Metal Gear for my strategy fix? (Lumines isn't my cup of tea)

    How is Raw vs. Smackdown?

    Any help appreciated...

Oh yeah...one more thing. How do you play the PSP online?

      Mac

I had a PSP for a month and then sold it.

I played NBA LIVE 06...it is TERRIBLE. I am talking really, really crap. Imagine LIVE 06 normal version without ANY plays or variation AND no defense at all.

There's only the basic 4 plays...so every. single. time up the court is a pick, screen or 3 point shot...every. single. game.

      Every. single. team.

There's no D at all...so you can score at will.

Look for 80 point games on 5 min quarters.

Really bad bro. Avoid it at all costs. Arcade junk.

Pretty dissapointing as winning eleven + madden psp managed to still keep a 'sim' feel eve on a portable machine.

BTW NBA 06 by SCEA is even worse...

MLB, Hot Shots, Virtual Tennis and Pinball Hall of Fame are all A titles, IMO. The new MLB title is due to drop in a couple of weeks, though, so you might want to hold off on that one.

Damn. It got pretty decent Metacritic scores. Guess thats why I come here...for REAL sports game reviews. I'm a little dissapointed though.

Thanks. I'm really looking forward to the new MLB.

you need a wireless router to go online. I think it is "network" in the menus, but you can scan and it should auto detect everything for you.

            Hot shots
            Virtua Tennis

both good games. I am playing Kingdom of Pardise right now, pretty cool game if you like that stuff.

              It was a big letdown.

Shawns review here was the most accurate IMO...pretty much sums it up perfectly.

NBA Live 06 is not a bad title - it's really not. It's a fun, pick-up-and-play game with a lot of options that happen to make the game look like basketball. But when you play the game itself, it's not really basketball - it's just an arcade game of something similar with some seriously odd - and consistently odd - AI.

I know you said lumines isn't your cup of tea, but it's far and away the best game on the system. Then comes Wipeout Pure, Hot Shots Golf and Ridge Racer. If you want strategy, MGA is your only choice, although generation of chaos is upcoming.

                        Socom/GTA = best games.

I heard VT was very good as well.

I'm going to Gamefly it. I loved SOCOM 2, but after a while, I had to step away from it. My brother got SOCOM 3 but I couldn't get into it. Sucks they took out all the SOCOM 2 maps *cry*

Thanks for the responses fellas. OK, I was on the fence with SOCOM, but Live just got bumped since I trust the reviews here completely (still bummed though)

So My Gamefly Q looks like this...

                            1. GTA (prolly buy that one)
                            2. SOCOM
                            3. Raw v. Smackdown (prolly cop this also)
                            4. Hot Shots
                            5. Vitual Tennis
                            6. Kindom o' Paradise
                            7. Wipeout Pure
                            8. LotR Tactics (The word "tactics" in the title means I have to at least try it)
                            9. Armored Core (read that its sim heavy, but I've always liked this series)

                            Thanks guys.
