Anybody go on Xbox Live using a directpc satellite internet connection

Or am I just out of luck. I am about to set up a wireless network in my house. However, I live in the boonies and dsl or cable is not available to me. Therefore, I am using Direcpc satellite internet. Just wondering if I can connect to xbox live using the 360?

    Thanks

You'll be able to however you might suffer from a good amount of lag from time to time. Ping times for satellite connections are notoriously latent because of the time it takes data to aggregate from the ground to space, back down again and then vice versa. As long as you can live with that, I'd say go for it and let everyone know how it goes.

I had that DirectPC crap last summer before DSL was available at my house and it was unplayable with XBOX Live. I could connect to people to play a game but once the game started it was way way too lag filled. The screen would move about once every 3 or 4 seconds.

For XBOX 360 I would imagine you could download demos/arcade games and patches and things, but head to head play might not be possible.

I fell for you man, I was without high speed for about 6 months before DSL was available here!
