Veteran on COD 2

How is the play on Veteran, and would those who have played on regular recommend Veteran as opposed to regular? thanks to all who reply

I would recommend the hardened difficulty. Veteran is super hard, you will have to have patience to beat it on Veteran. I think Regular is too easy, hardened is just about perfect.

Veteran mode is by far the best mode to play Call of Duty 2 in. Enemies are much smarter overall. They take cover when they don't know exactly where you are, and gang up on you and quietly call for backup when they do. They go for head shots with every chance they get, so make sure you take cover at all times and not expose yourself face to fire or else it's a quick death for you. And smoke grenades are your friend. You may not think much of them while playing through Regular difficulty, but in this mode they're about as valuable as a bar of gold.

It's a really tough challenge to play through Veteran mode, and you'll definitely experience some frustration with doing so. But you'll also have a very gratifying feeling once you complete this mode because you know have to concentrate, think and play overall at a high level in order to accomplish this.
