    Play and Charged Kit

Well, play and charge works as advertised. My battery was low when I finished up last night after the SB. So I plugged in the P&C and turn the console off. It kept charging and when I woke up this morning, the green light on the PSU was orange. Evidence that it will charge with the console off, and turn itself off when it's fully charged.

You don't have to leave the 360 running.

Whenever i charge mine with the PC, it seems to do odd things (light turns a dull green). The 360 way is nice, becuase you cant really tell its running, and turns off after its doen. Doesnt take long either.

nah, i've been using my pc or just charging while i'm playing. The 360 fans aren't running, only the Power Supply fans keep spinning when turning console off and leaving controlle to charge

                i see..

it took me a while to really understand it cuz everytime i charged my controllers and left, i'd never see the green light, i'd come home and everything would be off lol i used to think the green light would only come on when connected to the PC... the instructions were very bland.

I use my PC exclusively for charging, since it's on from when I get home from work until I go to bed. Another possibility I've read about is using your digital cable box. I haven't tried it yet, but it does have a USB port in the front.

I wish the cable were easier to pull out of the controller without having to yank it by the cord. I feel like it's going to make it easier to eventually break due to wear. Cool thingy otherwise.

must be yours, i don't have to yank anything.

Hmm, everytime I've tried to use the play and charge kit, with the 360 off, it never seems like its working. I gathered from the instructions that the light was supposed to stay red and then turn green when its finished right? Well when I plug it in, it will stay red for a minute and then just shut off. Works fine with my computer or when the 360 is on though.

Same here...light turns off on the P&C when the Xbox is turned off. Is it still charging even though the light is off?

Light on the console should be off but your light on the power supply which normally is orange when you turn off the 360 will be green if you turn 360 off while P&C is connected. Fans in the power supply will also still be spinning.

Yeah, I use my Comcast Digital Cable box to charge mine cuz it's always on and won't accidentally be turned off by anyone else. Although I've been having trouble with my cable box freezing lately which makes it re-boot.
