Wait for PS3 or Get a XBox 360?
I know people argue about the different systems. I'm hoping to get a couple of Logical responses. I can't afford both systems like most people. Xbox360 is out and hear alot of good things about it. Ps3 well we really don't know how much it'sgoing to cost and will it be worth it? Will it be more powerfull then the 360? I know no one can really tell us how the PS3 is going to be but there seems to be alot of insconsistancy from Sony right now about the PS3. Will it release in the spring or even this year? Please help me out. Is the 360 that much more powerful then the origional XBox or Should I get a regular Xbox and wait for the Ps3 then see what system is the better one ??? Thanks guys..

Both systems are very powerful, with the PS3 having a little more horsepower. It pretty much depends on what exclusives you like, as the cross-platform titles should look pretty much the same on both systems. If you enjoyed what the xbox offered, the 360 is a good choice. Same with the PS2 and PS3. I recommend researching upcoming titles for both systems and seeing which ones interest you.XBL: Mean Greene

I agree with above, the exclusive games are a big deal. Do you want God of War, Gran Turismo and Socom, or Halo, Forza, and Project Gotham.
If you like playing online, Xbox Live is the best out there right now. But Sony could have a good online service as well, it's up in the air on the PS3 because we don't actually know what it's going to be like.
Both systems have about the same power, most games will look identical on both. And most games will be built for the 360 this go round, and ported to the PS3.Comment

If you are in no hurry wait till the PS3 has its price announced and more games come out for the 360. March will be huge for MS.
As for the 360 now most of the games are B games and I think COD is the only A game. Along with the Arcade, if you don't have hours to sit and play the arcade rocks. I play it more than the actual DVD games.University of Evansville Graduate

Re: Wait for PS3 or Get a XBox 360?
Plus, the extra horsepower that the PS3 has isn't really gonna matter when it comes to sports games because I think EA said they'd just be porting one version to the other and not doing two seperate releases for each console, and I'd guess that 2k is doing the same thing.Comment

1.you said that you dont have a lot of money, or at least not enough for multiple systems, and the revolution should be cheaper than the other two.
2.the sports games that you like should be on the system.
3.nintendo has some of the best exclusives around.
4.for someone that in your own words "don't spend hrs upon hrs playing videogames". the xbox360 or ps3 may not be a sound investment or return on your gaming dollar.Comment

Re: Wait for PS3 or Get a XBox 360?
At this point I would wait for the PS3, I have a 360 but if I did not have one by now I would wait. I lucked in to a pre-order so I could not resist. I'm really interested in the blu-ray aspects of the PS3, but from a games standpoint it will be pretty much equal initially. I just hope there is a re-design of the PS3 controller. I may also sell my 360 when the PS3 comes out, there's really no sense in me having 2 consoles.Comment

TIm, you're going to want to make your decision on which controller you think is better.Rose City 'Til I Die

Re: Wait for PS3 or Get a XBox 360?
if you are a baseball fan... I would wait for PS3.(because of licensing deal)
other than that, I don't see where there is much of a difference between the two. Sony fans, like myself will tell you that the PS3 is better, MS fans will say the 360 is better.
If you can wait a few more weeks, more info on the PS3 is supposed to be released(crosses fingers) such as price, launch window and such. If you can wait until then, that might help you decide based off of when exactly the PS3 is coming out and how much it will be.
And as others have stated, the types of games you want to play should be the overall factor.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Both systems are going to be pretty similar, just like the current xbox and ps2............question is do you want one now? or do you want to wait till the end of the year ? (or later)My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

You should also look at which console has the exclusives you want. That's really the main thing. From the concrete information we have now on PS3, both systems will be close to the same. Can't say Xbox controller sucks anymore. Can't say Playstation's graphics aren't as good anymore.
Most logical thing would be wait til next month though. New 360 games, new PS3 info. That'll prolly make your decision a whole lot easier.Xbox 360 GamertagRAW 910

Based on all the speculation, the PS3 may be better due to the extra features and of course, blue-ray. What it all comes down to is exclusive titles. Which system's exclusive titles do you prefer.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment
