The Pelican Xbox 360 Fan stand, and I can't believe how well it works, Without the fan stand I always feel really warm air coming out the back of the 360, wich it's supose to do. Hooking it up to the fan stand, I was so surprised at how much cool air now comes out, this thing really works well. I took a pic for you guys to see what it looks like.

Give us a report back in a month or so. Those types of things I don't trust...just worry that could fry something.

how is it going to fry anything, it not taking much juice to run it, and Pelican gives you wa full warranty, if anything happens to the system because of using there product, they will replaced your system with a new one. It's all in writing, I think your just may be a bit paranoid,the system will never overhet I'll tell you that much.

Same here. I never really bought into the fan stand. Not to mention my 360 really isn't that warm (and it's horizontal).

Good luck with a Pelican warranty, I had an older system selector with a warranty, took me 6 months to get it worked out.

I'm not saying it'll kill your system, just I worry about that cool air fan blowing right on the system.

Mine doesn't get hot at all either joeboo.

cool I let you know in a month, I not worried one bit about Cool air running through the system, my system isn't hot either, but the system being cooler is just fine with me.

I would really like to know how it works, computers HATE heat, so ANYTHING to keep the system running alittle cooler will really help it out.

You place the 360 vertical on the stand,There's a fan on the bottom of the stand, that fan then shoots cool air up in to the system and it comes out the back of the 360 vents on the back of the system. Now when I used to play I would feel warm air coming out, now that I hooked the stand up, only cool air comes out, there isn't warm air coming out anymore, nice and cool. It hooks up through USB on the back of the system. When you play there's a swicth you turn on for the fan stand then just turn your system on. As simple as that.

The one thing you have to be careful of is sucking up dust or pet hair into the 360. Probably difficult to do since the fans are blowing from the bottom, but just worth mentioning.

My theory is, if it's not that warm now, it'll be fine over the lifespan of the 360. No electronic devices like heat and I've never had one die on me from overheating. Even PC's that I've had running for years straight (@ work). My cablebox/HD DVR combo gets even warmer than the 360.

The 360 is a powerful machine so it's going to get warm. If it's not in an enclosed area, I think it'll be fine without an extra fan stand or other device... I'm only concerned with it lasting until the next gen of console (probably 5-7 years).

I hear ya, but cooler won't hurt, thats just my thinking. My system is high on my entertainment center, so Im not worried about dust, and I alwyas keep a dust can handy to blow through the 360.

Certainly won't hurt it IMO. I'd just rather save the $20 or so that it cost and spend it on a game!
