Is any one else getting TOO accustomed to next gen graphics??

Opened GRAW...impressed, but not blown away. Same with Burnout.

Both are great games, with very, very nice visuals and all, but now that I'm used to the next-gen, these games didn't drop my jaw like I thought they would. I'm not complaining, but I think I'm feeling a little withdrawal from the absolute giddiness I felt when I first played 2K6 and COD2.

Anyone else feeling this?

Nah, next gen still impresses me. Both GRAW and Burnout blew me away. But I pop in a current gen game and it does nothing for me. Black is a pretty game, but I pop in any next gen game, and Black goes to being very normal.

If you don't have an HDTV I can see the point, but if you have an HDTV you see a major difference. NBA 2k6 is a great example.

Not really, granted I don't have a 360, but I've always perferred atmosphere as oppose to graphics.

I don't have burnout, Buy GRAW is just amazing Looking, I think It's nextgen no doubt. I have no complaints.

I feel the same way. Right now I'm playing MLB06 for the PS2 & FIFA06 for the XBOX and I can't believe the difference in graphics that there is with next gen and current.

I'm kinda the opposite I guess. I've yet to see a next gen game and go "wow." I'm still finding myself waiting for something big.

Yet, I just picked up Dragon Quest VIII on the PS2 and can't stop gushing about how beautiful it is visually.

Maybe my problem is that I've completely abandoned my XBOX...I'ts basically become my daughters personal Dora/Disney DVD player. I'm gonna do 3 straight days of current gen on my SD, and then pull GRAW back out on the HD again.

Maybe that'll build my "wow" factor back up.

For me... I'm extremely happy with GRAW. I think overall, it is a visually stunning game. I wonder how much of the 360's resources this thing uses?

LOL...I talked my father in-law and his brother into buying XBOX's a few years back, and they both picked up used copies of Live 02. Every weekend they have heated battles over brews. Problem...they refuse to buy a newer version. They don't want to learn new buttons, and won't even update the rosters. So now, every time the family gets together, I gotta' roll with Ricky Davis and D Miles on my Cavs.

I night of that will definitely have you feenin' for next gen. Maybe I need to kick it with them for a weekend.

That was the first game I played and got for Xbox. I was so blown away, especially with MJ in the game. And than even more blown away after playing NFL Fever.

I have'nt been ultimately "wowed" yet. Although GRAW is visually the best looking next gen game I played, I still expect more. Cant wait to see what the future holds in the graphics department.

That's about where I am personally. The graphics are awesome, but still, I am expecting more when it comes down the life cycle though. Does anybody know how much of the resources are being put to use by GRAW?
