XBox Live and Live Arcade (not 360)

I had a 2-month trial for XBL that ran out at the end of February, and I have been reconsidering getting a year subscription. I had a ps2, was online with that, but didn't use it all that much. BUT, I did like the freedom it gave as it WAS an option. I got rid of my ps2 in Sept and got an XBox.

The main question I have is seeing the packs that they sell at the stores with the full game of Project Gotham or some other game, the headset, AND XBOX LIVE ARCADE. Does that disc have the games on it, or does it only give you access to them on XBox Live that you still have to purchase. I'm just confused by the whole XBL Arcade concept on the original Box.

I see that my HD in my XBox has saves for a bunch of XBox Live Arcade games on it already, but I just don't know how to get them. My wife would absolutely LOVE them.

The XBOX Live Arcade disc includes a full version of Ms. Pac Man and then enables you to purchase other arcade games. I know it is getting a lot of support on 360, so I do not know if XBOX has stopped supporting XBLA for regular XBOX.

There are no more XBox Arcade games coming for XBox.

The regular XBLA still has some pretty good games that aren't yet available yet for the 360 like Bookworm, Hardwood Solitaire and others that are decent.

So, you still have to BUY the games (except for Ms. Pac Man) online then? That's the claification I was looking for. Thanks!
