Has owning a 360 changed anyone else's buying habits?

Back on the original x-box I had a solid yearly rotation. NCAA Football, Madden, NBA 2k, College Hoops, to MVP. Since getting my 360 in late Jan. I have purchased 6 damn games, including 4 in the past month. Just wanted to know if the new system and the suped up graphics have anyone else's pockets burning.

Well, of all the games I own for 360... I like them all. I've bought more than I had in a 3 month period for my Xbox.

So yeah, I've spent a lot more. Then again, Gamefly is great!

Yeah, I know last gen I would have never bought Ghost Recon or any FPS's not named Halo.

But damn Ghost Recon on my 61' samsung DLP is gaming bliss. I have a hard time playing the game because im stuck just looking at the graphics.

same here, i've only just bought one rainbow six title on the xbox was all but now the 360 is comparable and in some cases, superior to the PC so i buy all different tyopes of games on the 360 I would have never bought on my old consoles.

I love the 360 but i will for sure be more selective in the games i buy. Right now i only have NBA 2K6. I'll be reading the reviews on the net before i buy.

NBA 2k6 (360) is the best basketball game ever made(minus multiplayer dynasties). And so far College 2k6 maybe the funnest basketball game ever made.

If it wasnt for madden 360 quite possibly being the worst football game ever made.

360 would be the greatest console of all-time.

It's changed mine for sure. I now have ten Xbox360 games. I still buy Xbox/PS2/Cube games but now I wait for them to go on sale.

Once you've seen the 'Light' as in HD Gaming it's hard to go back to current gen games.

My buying habits are the same. I buy the football games and any other game that I think is worth the money. When I'm done with the game, it's put up on ebay or traded in. Since the 360's launch, I've purchased PDZ, Kameo, Madden 06, COD 2, Fight Night R3, and GRAW. Of those, only FNR3 and GRAW are still in my collection. I just sold COD 2 to put some money towards Oblivion.

I still have my Xbox and PS2 so I guess I buy more having a 3rd system. I've bought 5 360 games and traded one in.(PGR)

not really, I mean it's only 10 extra, If it was like $25 extra, then it would be a problem...I own 5 games and will still buy games that I want.

i buy the games I know i'll like and are really good, but i'm not gonna take any "fliers" on games that sound cool anymore. Even though it's just 10 bucks more it's enough to have me thinking about a purchase more, for some reason.

I feel exactly the same way 10 bucks more is enough for me to ask will I like this game and really play it for awhile. I recently decided to cancel my preorder of Oblivion360 cause I felt I wouldn't put the time into the game. So I bought Burnout360 and i've been playing it instead.

My habits haven't changed, cause I don't buy alot of games. That is probably gonna change soon with some nice titles being released this year for the 360

exactly! Yeah $10 doesn't appear to be much but there is a huge difference in spending $50 vs $60 and a game sucks. It may be all psychological with me but the $60 tag has made me more selective. I've only bought NBA 2K6, Kameo, FN RND3 (which I no longer have, good thing I didn't spend $60). I traded FN and Kameo for College Hoops. Oh, I bought GRAW for $47.99. As long as Fry's keep having new releases for that price, I keep buying games from Best Buy or Fry's. I've had COD, Gun, Tiger Woods, and one of the other launch games, all rented from Gamefly. Good thing I didn't spend $60 for them. I'm trying to be smarter with my purchase. I have to be real with myself. Games that I know I won't play after the newness wears off (read: Fight Night Round 3), I'm going to start passing on.
