Yeah, with the fan stand, the 360 has to be veritical. I didn't have any problems when I had my system vertical for the first 2.5 months, so it should be fine. The stand gives it some more stability, as well.

I might get the fan stand and the intercooler. This way I can use both to keep the system nice and cool.

With the fan stand, so the system sits vertical than?

Does it damage the discs at all as I remember the PS2 used when sitting vertical.

How sturdy does the system sit in the stand.

the system is very sterdy, I have hd like this for a long time, no sracthes on my disk at all.

Do the discs fit just right into the tray?

Does it blow out a lot of warm air with the fan stand?

there's still is a littlw warm air coming out, but it's a lot cooler then witout out it, and yes there's a lip that the disk is set in when putting it in vertical, I have no issues. It works great.

the intercooler does, it just snaps to the back of the 360...........the fan stand requires you to go vertical, the intercooler you can go horizontal.

I'll have to look into that one then, I don't believe in putting systems vertical

LOL........Why? My system has been vertical for ever and it's all good.

Well, one of my cousins had his ps2 vertical and went through 2 rather fast. When he switched to horizontal, it worked/works fine. Also a friend of mine had a little accident with his COD2 disk when using the 360 horizontally, he must not have put it in right and ended up putting a major scratch on his game. I know that wasn't the systems fault, but I just feel that would be something that would happen to me.

Same here, that's why I'm waiting for the intercooler.
