    Best place to pre-order?

Looking to pre order PS3 ASAP so I don't end up getting one a month after release or whatever. When 360 came out, some wish they never pre ordered from certain places and such. So I'm just wonderin, who handles their preorders the best?

    EBGames?

    Toy's R Us?

Already heard bad sh*t about Gamestop... Hmm... What about Walmart?

EDIT: And I called one of my local EBGames and it seems that I'd be #38 on the list. WTF it's only been a day ; ; . And I wasn't planning on preordering til like next month >.>

Your best bet is camping out and not pre-ordering. If Sony only ships 20 to each store, you're screwed already at EB. Most stores by me are 30-50 deep already.

Basically anywhere you pre-order is a crapshoot.

Ive pre-ordered all my stuff at EB Games (now Gamestop). I've never had a problem. They had issues with the PS2 launch since they took so many pre-orders that Sony didn't have enough supply and had to go back on their numbers for available systems.

The same things happend with Microsoft and the 360.
The same thing with happen with the PS3. it's just how it is.

I'm going to 3 Gamestop's on first day. Plucking my $50 down, that guarantees me atleast one on launch from three stores. If I decide to get the PS3 on launch, than that way I'll have one reserved and not like the 360 where I waited too late to prepay.

            That's not a bad idea.

Believe it or not, the PS3 will be the first console I'm not in line for or have pre-ordered on Day one going all the way back to Genesis.... I was there on day one for the Genesis, SNES, Sega CD, the Saturn, Nintendo 64, PS1, Dreamcast, PS2, XBox, Gamecube, and the 360. Pretty sad huh? *laugs*

well I'm not sure if you can even preorder now, I called all gamestores in my area(Ebgames,Gamestops), and they are not talking preorders because no date was set, they said they know it's November. but there is not date, until they get a date they can't take preorders.

Some stores are putting names down on a list... then when EB/Gamestop actually get the SKU in the system for the PS3, them they call the people on the list and tell them they've got X amount of days to get there to remain on the list at the number they were given.

While other stores aren't doing that and just goign bye the rules of encrapment.

Blockbuster, that's where I got my 360 and a whole lot cheaper too with trade ins. Wal-Mart doesn't take preorders.

I'm not preordering a PS3 either after being through 4 PS2s 2 PS1s and now going on 360 #2. At least the 360 was free.

Thanks, I really don't care to much, because I have no intrest in the PS3, I just called to see if they were taking preorders, because I know they didn't take preorders for the 360 unitl the exact day was talked about.
