Xbox 360 digital optical cable question...
I wasn't sure whether to put this new thread here or the entertainment and technology forum, sorry if this is the wrong one. I just got an HDTV.It has a digital optical input for digital sound, which is better than the standard L/R red white stereo sound. If I buy the digital optical cable for the Xbox 360, does one end simply go into the TV and the other end into the Xbox 360? Or do I need an amplifier or something else? All this technology is very new to me, as I'm still playing with all my new TV's bells and whistles. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year. Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.Tags: None -

I see. Do I still need to use the red and white inputs with the digital cable? Or do I use the digital cable by itself? How I wish, how I wish you were here. I messed around with it some more today. What settings should my Xbox 360 be set at when using it? Dolby Pro Logic II for Analog and Dolby Digital for Digital? How I wish, how I wish you were here.
