Nope. I don't really care for the PS3 exclusive games, although it might be nice to have a baseball alternative in the for of SCEA's game. On the other hand, I just don't care about Metal Gear which I've found to be terribly boring in the past, have played enough Gran Turismo games for this lifetime, and having played a bunch of the Final Fantasy games in the past am probably done with those too. What else does Sony have exclusively? Racket and Clink and that Jax guy? All that for higher cost, shortages, and Sony reliability? No thanks. I've had enough Sony with the few PS2's that I've gone through. I will look seriously at the Revolution though because I love old school Nintendo stuff.

I'd only buy one to resell on ebay. I don't have anything against the PS3, but I only have the time, money, and inclination to support one system per generation. Right now, I'm in the Xbox camp.

Without derailing this thread; I really think you're short changing Sony exclusives, you barely scratched the surface of what they have to offer. In fact you only listed the mainstream stuff... But to each his own, I happen to feel the same way about Xbox franchises.

Higher cost? Possibility , but you do get more out the box for that "higher cost"..Matching the 360 in cost isn't out of the question.

Shortages are to be expected, you can't fault Sony for that...They could have 3 million+ units for day one and it would still be called a shortage.

Won't touch the reliability issue since personal experiences differ; I personally have never problems with thier products, and I own alot of Sony products.

And I'm sorry but Halo is a horrible choice, IMO... Halo 2 was such a letdown (that ending ) I don't have any interest in Halo 3.

I already have a 360; I'm using these 7-8 months as an evaluation period...If the system grows on me I'll keep it, if not I'll put it on Ebay.

Not at all, the only Playstation game i want would be the GTA series..But 360 owners should get that 6 months after the release for playstation..and i can wait.

Also the real joy of halo isnt SP...Multiplayer is soo amazing. I cant name one game that made me so pissed off..yet i played it so much.

I'm getting a PS3 as my only next gen system. Metal Gear Solid, Devil May Cry, Gran Turismo, MLB, Tekken, too many of my favorites to say no.

Thinking of preordering two (from two different places) keeping one and selling the other on Ebay a week or two before XMas...Should more then pay for the one I keep.
