naw i don't have premium boost... i'm tempted to pay an extra 10 a month for that though, just to test it out... i think optimum raised their bandwidth for a lot of users free of charge because of verizon fios.... my speeds (especially upload) were never that high before...


I live on Long Island (Freeport to be exact, Nassau County) but there's a pretty large amount of people that live here.

It's funny how nowadays home users are gettings speeds way above business connections that cost 10-25x as much. However for reliability you still can't beat T1's etc.

Yeah I've always thought that was funny.

Of course the numbers I posted are almost impossible to compare. My home number is based on 1 user and no other streaming audio/video or downloads occuring at that time.

The work connection is a hundred or so people at this office, about 500 other people around the US accessing servers here, a VPN tunnel to an office in San Francisco (redundancy) and a handful of remote users using a VPN connection.

So obviously the loads on each connection are a little different.
