    Candy,

    I'm finally awake. *laughs*
I played 4 of the single player missions last night.
It kind of feels like the single player is more of a huge training ground for when you take the game online. I have a feeling this could be pretty good online while the offline play will be eeeeh. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Gameplay wise.... the vehicles feel exactly like the ones in Halo. Sort of wonky, but they get the job done. The characters move around just fine. yes, a little bit slow, but it's not that bad by any means. It just forces you to use vehicles more often too get around the bigger areas, which isn't bad.

You will defeinitely get to use some strategy when you play MP online.
30-50 cal. Gun placements, AA placements (to stop air strikes), tanks, control points to get better tanks, guns, and air strikes.

Thus far it's interesting. I'm just not sure how much love it'll get next week with Blazing Angels, Oblivion, and Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires coming home.

Yes, I've turned into a total 360 junkie

You must be tired? Work can wear a body down.

Do you think the game is worth spending $60 on?

        Candy,

I work a hybrid of a 2nd or 3rd shift depending on the week. This week it's been kind of helter skelter. My co-worker has been out a couple days, so I've been working by myself. It's nice though, but sometimes lifting 100-150lb rolls of plastic gets to be tiresome alone. Not to mention a 10hr shift alone. Yeah, I'll sit on the PC and look through the forums here, but you know... that can get boring after a while too since not everyone is up at 4am. *laughs*
I work in the Plastics Industry.

        As for the Outfit.

This is a TOUGH call on what i'm going to do. There's some other games out next week that could get my attention instead. I'm a SUCKER for flight games. Then there's Oblivion... the main quest being 20-25hrs to get through with those that want too explore getting possibly over a 100hrs out of it.

Eextreme, do you think you're going to hold onto the Outift for long?

              Re: The Outfit XBOX 360

I found this on IGN from another poster. General Chaos on SEGA Genesis was similar to the Outfit. I remember playing this game back in the day.

"Is it me or is the Outfit a very, very blatant remake of the Electronic Arts game General Chaos for the Sega Genesis. General Chaos as a four player game for the Genesis was easily in my top 3 games of all time for the Genesis, so I am glad somebody finally remade it. However, I feel like they lost some of the vital multiplayer components. Does anybody else agree with me that this game is a remake?

The similarities are too many to count. First of all the basic game concept of two teams pitted against each other in an over the top cartoony war for territory. Second, its Germans versus Americans. Third, you get to control one character directly and you tell the others where to go. Fourth, the characters themselves (the machine gunner, the flamethrower, the bazooka, the grenader). Fifth, the open treasure chests filled with gold strewn about the maps. Sixth, destructive enviornments as important to the game. Seventh, lots of maps with rivers you can drown in and other such terrain similarities. I mean I could go on and one...some of these may seem fairly general but I promise you, if you have played both games you know EXACTLY what I mean. Go download the ROM of General Chaos if you want to see what I mean first hand.

I acutally think The Outfit would have benefited a lof from learning some of the lessons from General Chaos' gameplay. For instance, I liked how General Chaos managed a four player game WITHOUT splitting the screen. Second, I like how General Chaos had a mode where you could only have two guys on your squad. "

                          Re: The Outfit 360

Game is receiving a patch this week.

                          Matchmaking Improvements

The connection speed of each player is now displayed in the Pre-Game lobby (green for good, yellow for average, red for poor). This allows the host to identify and remove players who have a poor connection speed before the game begins. The Outfit uses peer-to-peer networking, so identifying and removing players with poor connection speeds before the game begins will eliminate lag for all players in a session.
The connection speed of each game is now displayed in Custom Quick Match and Custom Ranked Match lobbies (green for good, yellow for average, red for poor), helping players to avoid joining games with poor connection speeds.
Players wishing to join a Quick Match will now always connect to the game with the fastest connection speed. Prior to this, Quick Match obtained the first game it found.
Players can now speak to one another in every pre-game and post-game lobby.
Only your friends who have played The Outfit will appear in the Leaderboard "Friends" filter.
Fixed an issue where Quick Match player numbers were being reported incorrectly.
Fixed an issue where 'Play Again' caused the lobby size to be frozen at previous match's size.

                          Gameplay Improvements

Multiplayer Achievements can now be earned in both Ranked Quick Match and Ranked Custom Match game sessions.
Vehicles in multiplayer now perform as well as they do in single player.
Vehicles can no longer be hijacked when they are moving at high speed, significantly reducing "hijack spam."
Event queue messages now appear on screen for one second longer than before, giving players a better chance to read them.
Fixed an issue that caused the jump animation to play twice in certain multiplayer situations.

                          Multiplayer Tuning Changes

The rotation rate and health of Anti-Aircraft Emplacements has been reduced. Previously, AA guns were too powerful given their cost.
15% increase to health for all Halftracks and Tanks.
25 FU cost increase to Anti-Aircraft Emplacements.
50 FU cost reduction to Artillery Strike.
25 FU cost reduction to Air Strike.
50 FU cost reduction to Tech 3 Antitank Emplacements.
10 FU cost increase to first- and second-tier Machine Gun Emplacements.
Calliope damage versus vehicles has been slightly decreased.

Two guys playing COD online with me were praising it last night. I was about to ask them why they were playing COD now. I might try the demo out, assuming they still have it.
