Microsoft Announces Xbox 360 Inventory Surge
It's about time...
Beginning this week, Microsoft will distribute two to three times the number of Xbox 360 consoles to the retail channel weekly. With component supplies in full production and third manufacturing partner Celestica Inc. now producing the next-generation console along with partners Wistron Corp. and Flextronics Corp., Microsoft is producing more Xbox 360 consoles than ever.
"Today we have turned a major corner," said Peter Moore, corporate vice president of the Interactive Entertainment Business in the Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft. "With more consoles on their way to retail, 80 games available by June, and new content and experiences coming to Xbox Live® all the time, there has never been a better time to own an Xbox 360."
In addition to new games, consumers can extend the experience of existing Xbox 360 titles with new downloadable content available on Xbox Live Marketplace. Microsoft Game Studios confirmed new content for "Project Gotham Racing® 3," including exciting cars and achievements. Fans of "Perfect Dark: Zero(TM)" will have access to additional content, including downloadable multiplayer maps. In addition, the unique experience of "Kameo(TM): Elements of Power(TM)" will be extended through new online cooperative gameplay options and exciting new costumes for Kameo and her warriors.Go Noles!!! >>----->Tags: None -

Analysts predict Microsofts Inventory Surge and getting out of the gate early will make them market leader thru 2010, WOW !
FBR predicts US launch of Sony's console will reinvigorate game stocks, but Xbox 360's head start will make it market leader through 2010.
Analyst: PS3 the "light at the end of the tunnel"
FBR predicts US launch of Sony's console will re-invigorate game stocks, but Xbox 360's head start will make it market leader through 2010.
As for what will drive that 18 percent growth on the console side, Milne puts it on the shoulders of the Xbox 360 and the PS3, "less so for the Nintendo Revolution." Projecting console sales through 2010, Milne expects the PS3 to outsell the Xbox 360 each year after 2006, but not enough to overcome Microsoft's year-long head start in the console wars. After 2010, Milne expects the PS3 to have sold 23.3 million units in the US, with the Xbox 360 claiming a domestic user base of 24.6 million. His projections for the Revolution are less impressive, expecting Nintendo to move 12.5 million units by the end of 2010.Comment

Re: Microsoft Announces Xbox 360 Inventory Surge
I would consider this good news but i dont even know if im getting a 360 now that I see the Ps3 comes wit 60gigs STANDARD compared to the 20 gigs (13 really) that you get with the 360, not to mention all the third parties selling games at 59.99 despite the recommended price being 49.99...Comment

On another note, how the heck do all these "analyst" come up with all this information? I'm really curious. Do they take a survey or something that clearly states what's going to go down for the year or do they have some type of fortune-telling newspaper? I honestly don't see the 360 keeping a sale til 2010. Just doesn't seem right cause the 360 didn't get that many systems out like they should have. They didn't even pi$$ in the Asian market either, right? Someone break it down for me.......Comment
