    360 to PC connection

So I know that I can connect my Xbox 360 to my PC and dump music files onto the hard drive (correct??). How do you do it? Every time I try to, neither devices recognize each other.

On a side note, I have my pc wirelessly networked and my 360 wired to the router. I can't get both to be online at the same time - it's an either/or situation. Can I fix that? I'm assuming its within the setup for the router. Also, saying I fix it where both can be online at the same time, will that be enough to file transfer, or does the 360 need to be wired to my pc.

    Any thoughts would help. Thx.

If you've got a router then you should be able to put both online at the same time, unless they're trying to use the same assigned internal IP address. As for hooking up the 360 to the PC, google Windows Media Connect and it should take you to a site download it from. You start the setup on your 360 first, then install the Media Connect software on your PC afterwards. It really is nice and it's even nicer if you have Windows Media Center 2005 Edition.

Will the 360 be able to play .AVI, .WMV, and .MPEG files from the PC?

You can't transfer files between the two, only stream media from your PC.

Right, but it can stream those files, correct?

You can stream music and view pictures if you're using XP. If you have Media Center Edition you can stream video, etc.

So, i'm having an issue with my IP address (it's conflicting with my PC). Do you know how to fix that easily? I have a linksys wireless router (my Xbox is hard-wired to the router and my pc is wireless).
