    XBOX Live Gold 360

For those that have XBOX LIVE GOLD for the 360, how has the service been. Is it worth the $50 for 13 months? I have the 13 mth LIVE CARD, but haven't upgraded my silver account yet. I tried the 1 month trial on the xbox1 a few years ago and MP was cool on a few game that I played.

I was thinking by joining LIVE GOLD, than it would extend the life of some of my games.

Do sports games have online leagues?

the service has been pretty good, but there are a lot of immature cheesers out there. I feel it was money spent well enough.

and yes, many sports games, such as madden and nba 2k, feature online leagues. not sure what other ones do, but i know those 2 do and OS even has a few leagues for each.

      hope that helps

Thanks, how are the league games played if you can't play at a certain time?

It's well worth the price simply because of the feedback system is alot more detailed and precise so the losers end up with the bad ratings and us good guys end up with better ratings. That lone makes it worth the $50 over the PS2 type system..

i havent actually played in any of the leagues, but i am pretty sure you can play the games whenever you and the other person agree to. I dont think you have to follow any order or anything.

I've been playing in 2Ksports leagues for the past 2 years & I've had a gr-8 time. Still playing in 2 NFL 2K5 Leagues. When run correctly, leagues can be fun & exciting. This 1 NFL league I'm in we're in our 6th season. The group is really tight & we've actually become Online buddys. We share stuff with each other about our lives. Wife stuff, marriages, newborns. You know everyday things that go-on in life.

As for XBL service it's self. IMO It's well worth the money..

Based on the 30 day trial I decided it wasn't worth it. Online play was just horrible and all the other stuff can be gotten from silver. I'll try with some newer games with the trial cards I have but I'm not expecting much.

The losers don't end up with bad ratings and good players often will because of sore losers.

Yeah its a whole different Experience than Sony online, they have feedback like on 2k6 where if they quit you can avoid them so you dont run into them in the future, but this backfires because i have gotten poor rating on 2k6 because i beat somebodys *** at the game lol i beat this guy by 60 and he was cussn on the headset and he rated me a Horrible Oppenent lol.

but the connection is pretty soild. Good Customer Support, lot of demos on the marketplace u need Gold to play them like the new Battlefield game. but might as well use it its a whole different experience

I completely disagree. Although yes I'm sure you will run across some guys with good ratings who do bad things it's the exception not the norm on Xbox Live. I play a good bit on Live and 95% of the time I have good experiences with the online players there.
