Do you have high speed internet?
If yes..
Do you have a wireless router?
If yes...
Then you'll need one of these:
Wireless adapter from Microsoft
USB wireless adapter (3rd party like Linksys)
3rd party wireless adapter that plugs into the ethernet port of your 360
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/m...p/homenet.mspx
You can use a 3rd party USB wireless adapter, but it may not support enough pipe speed (aka wirless A, B, or G formats). A being the newest and fastest speed.
The MS wireless USB adapter supports the B, G, and A formats. It just says you'd need a router (obviously) that supports wireless A too use that feature.
I'm using a wirless G Conection and I've got ZIPPO issues.
It's good to see that you can use a 3rd party wireless adapter.Last edited by DXZeke; 04-12-2006, 04:16 PM.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

Re: Wireless Connection (360)
A is actually a number of years older than G, it just never trickled down to consumers due to some issues with it.Originally posted by DXZekehttp://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/m...p/homenet.mspx

Re: Wireless Connection (360)
that is a wireless router. it is sending out a wireless signal, but you need a wireless access point connected to your Xbox, so your Xbox can receive that signal.
are you a roadrunner? i graduated from there in 2000.

Re: Wireless Connection (360)
No, an access point is something totally different. You need either a gaming adapter or a wireless ethernet bridge attached to your xbox.Originally posted by DW Rutledgethat is a wireless router. it is sending out a wireless signal, but you need a wireless access point connected to your Xbox, so your Xbox can receive that signal.
