Re: 360 Owners Only/Premium or Core?
I bought a premium a week and a half ago. It was a lot of money but I just couldn't convince myself to wait for price drops since the PS3 is so far away still and I couldn't see myself playing this year's sports games on current gen. I don't have any financial issues but I still felt kind of guilty for spending all that money. So for the past week I've been selling stuff on Ebay to absorb the expense and today I got the news that I'm getting a very sweet tax return. Gone is the guilt and I can keep my Family Guy Dvds too. Sweet!
But yeah Premium id the way to go if you want the hard drive cause it costs as much as a core plus the haard drive and you get extra stuff.Comment

This could cause a problem towards the PS3 at or around launch.Comment

Re: 360 Owners Only/Premium or Core?
Got a Premium at launch. I pre-ordered a bundle from Toys R Us, so I was able to wake up at 9 am on launch day, walk into TRU a few minutes after opening and walk out with my bundle 10 minutes later.
My initial unit had issues booting up, so I sent it in to MS in January and my new one has worked flawlessly ever since.Comment

Re: 360 Owners Only/Premium or Core?
I don't owned one now(money reasons), but when I get one, I'll get a core systems. Reasons being is I don't have an hdtv and I don't much care for playing online. So I'm thankful that there is a core system available.Comment

Re: 360 Owners Only/Premium or Core?
Well being when I got my 360 the only units avalible where the core, i just went the add-on route with the wireless controller and HDD. Now I know I spent more money this way but considering it's extremely hard to find a premium console my way (or rather it's just me) I really don't worry about it. Besides outside of the silver disk tray face it's basicly the same machine.Comment

Originally posted by vinnyYeah, but you will probably end up getting a hardrive anyway and that alone equals the $ value of the premium, and then you can just sell the headset and hd cables on ebay if your never gonna use them.Comment

Originally posted by spectralfanYou can't sell the HD cables cause they're a combo with the A/V ones with a switch to decide whther you want TV or HDTV. So, if you were to sell your HD cables you's have to buy new A/V cables. I don't think it'd be worth it. Maybe I'm wrong. Is there a big price difference between HD cables and Regular A/V?
Yeah, thats true, I forgot that the premium only comes with the combo cords. In which case you would only get money for the headset which wouldn't be much anyway.Comment
