I still wonder what is going on with the replays not appearing. How do you recover your gamertag?

I don't remember where it was, but its in the xbox dashboard. I think it is under the system tab. what do you mean about Replays ???

when you start up your system you setup an XBox live account.
there will be one for "new" or "account recovery"
it has all the info on their server... like what you've downloaded... items you've bought off the marketplace... etc.

It's really easy to do.

I beleive you'll need the credit card you used with the account to verify the last 4 digits on the card. outside of that, recovery is easy and not quite as hard as the 12 step kind.

You can just transfer your xbox live account to your memory card.

That's what I did. I reformatted a few days ago to get CH2K6 working again. Transferred all my game saves, rosters, and gamer pictures to my memory card, then transferred my gamer profile as the last step. Reformatted, pulled everything back off the memory card, and everything works great. I didn't have to enter a number, recover a gamertag, anything. The only thing I'm missing is Hexic, but I didn't play it anyway.

Sad that we have to reformat to get these games working again, but if you already have a memory card it's just dumb not to.

I posted this in the 2k freeze thread in MLB, but I'll post it here as well. IF you reformat and want Hexic back, all you've got to do is call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and tell the service agent that you reformatted your HD and want hexic back, and within a day or two they'll call or email you with a code to enter to get it back. It's a one time use code, so either write it down or do it with them on the phone to make sure you get it again.
