Re: The Darkness (360 and PS3)
Eurogamer Review
In a year absolutely crammed with interesting-looking first-person shooters, you've got to come up with a game of extraordinary quality to rise above the competition. The Darkness has come along at simultaneously the best- and worst-possible time: on the one hand, it has arrived before it risked being drowned out in a fiercely competitive market, full of games claiming to be the Next Big Thing; on the other, it might well suffer from people holding off for what else is coming out. For what it's worth, I'd concur with Rob and suggest that any fan of first-person shooters needs to play this game, even though the occasional duff level disrupts the quality at times. Once The Darkness gets its tentacles around you, resistance is futile.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: The Darkness (360 and PS3)
I got it for the single player, although I'll give the online a shot. I'm really interested in the single player though. If I can get 10-15 hours out of, I'll be happy.Comment

As did I, but the online looks quite interesting. I just don't want this game to turn out to be amazing online and I have the version that no one else has.Comment

Re: The Darkness (360 and PS3)
I've seen it before, but that opening sequence is so awesome. Texture work in this game is really nice. The AA and AF is high too, which you really don't see in console games. Controls are a little loose at first, but you get used to them pretty quickly, and there's a ton of sensitivity options to adjust for those that can't adapt. Not sure if it was mentioned anywhere or not, but I really like the way Jackie moves his guns when opening doors or when ducking behind cover. It's subtle, but a really nice touch and just makes the game more immersive. I'm enjoying it so far. Haven't tried multiplayer, but I'm not expecting much.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment
