Well I picked up the game as a rental (and thank goodness for that)

I guess i'm of two minds about it. As someone who's watched very little of the show it was very easy to get into. The story was interesting enough but the gameplay was EAAAASY. It took me a little over 5 hours to finish the game.

So yeah it was addictive but very easy. If you want to play something to waste your time then this is ok I suppose. It's not very open-ended tho so people who like those sort of games would be disappointed.

Me too. I'm getting into the season now. Just finished my first season and waiting for the second one to come to the library. Great writing. It even got me to watch the Godfather. I'm becoming a mafia nut.

Not to get off-topic, but if you guys want the best mafia-related movies..watch:

                  Casino

                  The Godfather Part I-III

                  Goodfellas

Bella Mafia (very underrated, and slightly hard to find because it was made for TV)

                  Donnie Brasco

                  The Untouchables

                  etc., etc.

                  Getting back to the game..

FIVE HOURS?!? Ugh..don't ask me how many hours it took to get the Don of NYC rank in The Godfather game..

..okay, I'll spill it: 34 hours. None of those hours were tedious, either.

Hmm it tries a lot of different things. There's the beat em up aspect of it. the "talking" game aspect kinda like Leisure Suit Larry, 24, and a game from last year called Indigo Prophecy.

There's a part in the game where you have to save a woman from a burning building etc etc.

One VERY disappointing thing about the game is that there are no driving missions. You just get plopped into the misison proper. The game is VERY linear that way. As I said last night it's not that bad of a game just very easy and limiting in some ways. At least it's very cinematic in that at times it feels like it could be an episode of the Sopranos. (a poorly written one in dialogue terms but still)

I'd give the game a 2 out of 5 stars. It's isn't the worst game i've played but it fell well below expectations.
