Madden- The more I play the game, the more I like it. The crowd sound is amazing and reacts intelligently. I hit Hines Ward with a 60 yd TD and the crowd went nuts. The fact that I can hear the crowd over all the noise from other games is absolutely amazing. With that said EA must work on the tackle animations. They are still relying primarily on the animations used in the current gen version and they look clunky and dated.
NCAA- I figured out that EA hasnt made every stadium in the game yet or even worked on the generic stadiums yet. I used Texas Tech at home and found that they had the Akron Zips stadium too. I think this will be fixed come release so it shouldnt be a problem.
NBA 2k7- If I had to pick the sports game that has impressed me the most at E3 it would be a fight between NCAA, Table Tennis, NFL Head Coach and this game. 2K did the smart thing and did make massive changes to the game but added on to it. There are a ton of little tweaks they added like Steve Nash licking his fingers as he brings the ball up court, Chauncey Billups up court dribble, Tayshawn Prince's shot etc. Real play sets appear to be in as Rasheed spent the entire time either at the 3 point line, setting picks and popping out or in the block. Also he didnt hesitate to shoot the three just like in real life.
NFL Head Coach- Not much to say about this game other then if you are a football fan you should pick this game up, Its ridiculously dee and a lot of fun. The only problem is that the Xbox version had a ton of jaggies but you dont play this game for the graphics.
The power of the Booth and Booth Babes- While I'm pissed at EA for not showing us any love by giving us an interview, I have to say that their booth is amazing. Its hard to describe but there are people who go to the EA booth and dont even try to play the games. They just sit back and watch the huge circular video screen. Its the best looking booth at E3.
Behind the EA, Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft booths, take a guess at what the most popular and crowded booth is. Ubisoft? No. 2K? No. The answer is......NGAGE. Yes, that pathetic cellphone gaming system that everybody thought was dead is extremely popular here. Why? Not because of any games or new phones. Its because they have to things...incredibly hot booth babes and chairs. That booth is the only place inside the exhibit where you can sit down and after you sit down the BB's swarm and try to sell you on the product. I spent a 20 minutes chatting up one of the girls there when I could care less about that system or any of the games (Yes, im pathetic). I'll try to get you guys some pics if I can get my damn camera working.
I checked out a few of the non sports games- Saints Row, Prey etc. I'll talk about that in my next update.
