    Anyone remember 3do??

Wasnt that bastard like 700 bucks and i got that for my birthday back in the day. And wasnt that the biggest flop in history of video games so maybe the ps3 will be worth it but i remember getting 3d0 and it was expensive.

I had one too. Saved up the cash and spent some 600 bucks for it. The worst purchase decision I ever made....although oddly I do look back fondly on Road Rash and Way of the Warrior. Kicking butt and taking names to White Zombie in a mortal kombat knockoff had its moments.

I remember the NEO GEO was around that price as well. With those gigantoid controllers as well. Makes the XBOX1's original controller look like a mouse.

I thought this was about the 3DO game company...

was going to say my dad and I had some amazing games of Battle Tanks.

I obviously didn't have one, as I have no idea what they are...but I'm not surprised EG did.

I loved those games. I didn't have the money to buy one, so my best friend and I would just go to the local video store and rent one every weekend. Always had to reserve Road Rash and NFS so that we could get them.

Neo Geo was over $1000, but to be fair it was marketed as a home arcade system. The games were $200 a pop.

Why hasn't EA remade the following games.
              -Road Rash
              -Mutant League
              -General Chaos

                'were'?

Games like KOF are still being made for Neo Geo I believe.

Hey they also had Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Madden, and the basketball game (I forgot the name). I'll have to dig out my system and let you know the name. Oh I remember Slam and Jam.

My cousin had Neo Geo, plus a bunch of games, mostly fighting. I was amazed his mother got it for him.

I had one. The entire "Superunknown" CD by Soundgarden reminds me of playing Road Rash.

Yeah I bought one for $700 when they released, and I bought everything with it. Street Fighter, Need for Speed, that quasi-strategy game where you'd use tanks and helicopters in split screen...Madden, Slam n Jam, you name it. It was a hell of a system at the time, and I was in the Navy so I took it on the ship with me and we had an absolute blast.

It flopped so fast that by the time I came back from deployment it was discontinued, it seemed...

Had to go look it up:

Return Fire. It had a couple sequels, none of which compared to the original on 3DO.

Forgot about Star Control 2, as well. That was a gem.
