I read an article today which said that the Wii is a Nintendo Gamecube with numchucks. People are crazy.
Just watch the video for Mario Galaxy. Thats no Gamecube game. Just like with any new hardware, it will be at least a year before we start seeing what this sytem truely can do and I think it will eventually seperate itself from the Gamecube. Though admittedly that will be a bit hard at first since their biggest launch title IS a Gamecube game.

If they have all the sports games that Xbox and PS3 will have, it'll be my system of choice.

Re: How many are buying a Wii?

I haven't been a serious console gamer for a long time, but the Wii is drawing alot of interest for me. The PS3's projected price automatically ensured I would not be a customer (long before it's even released), along with their severe lack of innovation (read: same ****ty controller they've had for a DECADE!). A freaking decade! How narrow minded do they have to be to continue spitting out the same crap? And Kogishimusakimuhaka has the gall to use the word revolutionary and their product in the same sentence. (/endrant, sorry about that)

My final decision will weigh heavily upon the sports lineup.

Re: How many are buying a Wii?

Depends if Nintendo doesn't do crappy sports stuff. Like getting rid of Nintendo Sports (N64 days) and Sega Sports. I doubt they will get them back either.

Just for the innovation, I'm buying one....$199.99 that isn't expensive...

Red Steel, Zelda, Smash Bros. w/ Solid Snake...Are you kidding..already 3 titles I want...and probably more to come...

Plus its going to be great to see my 5 year old son, jumping around with that controller.....

Innovation is overrated and so are most of Nintendo's first party games.
