Apparently the seller has had two credit card #s stolen and right now their books are under review from some agency. this reeks but im not sending a money order out and i figure when the review is done the way they deal with credit card purchases should be safer. Looks like if i dont just scrap this auction i wont be getting the 360 till mid-june...
what does the sellers credit card have to do with you paying with your CC ??? Why would you have to wait till June if you don't get this one ??? Just curious. My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: ebay 360 deal
Uh... he has the same exact auction up again now with 4 more 360's.
I would cancel that **** if I were you! NO way in hell he can do that deal 8 times. Either the items are HOT, or he is running a scam. That simple, only way he can do 8 of that deal.
Did a little hunting:
Address:
GCSSXS
Leah Gryphon
430 Knox Road, 800 North
Abingdon, IL 61410
We started gcssxs to bring you the ultimate in extreme
PC games from around the world, bringing you
AFFORDABLE XBOX 360 PREMIUM game systems
from reliable sources.
WE currently have for sale the following:
52 XBOX 360 PREMIUM game systems ( NOT
the basic core systems ). These systems
come as a package deal that includes the
following items:
XBOX 360 PREMIUM game system
Extra wireless controller,
2 memory cards for controllers
Multi-media remote control,
Wireless networking adapter and 12 month
subscription
for internet gaming.
These are the latest generation systems !!!!!!
NO OVERHEATING AND NO LOCKING UP !!!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If it is legit.... Those systems 'fell off a truck'. That simple. They didn't buy out some company that had 52 premium xbox systems with those extras and are able to afford to sell for that price. No way in hell...Last edited by eXperiment63; 05-17-2006, 12:19 AM.Comment

Re: ebay 360 deal
So do you think its fully within my right to retract my winning bid? The whole thing sounds sketchy. as much as i'd like an extra controller and the wireless adapter, i already have a wired controller from mad catz. I'd rather not run the risk for that kind of money...
EDIT
Yeah they're definitely one and the same, thats the number I called & talked to someone at. For all I know they bumped the auction up to 450 at the end just to match that price. Im really undecided. Can I get a Yay/Nay from a few of you guys, its a hell of an offer to pass up. If not this its probably bestbuy later this week ..Last edited by Tha_Kid; 05-17-2006, 01:00 AM.Comment

Re: ebay 360 deal
Yeah I just sent a message through ebay about breaking the deal off. I dont doubt they have the systems but the whole thing is sketchy, id rather just buy the system and have it in my hands..
If I just go to a store like Best Buy or CC how long am i covered in case the system acts up? I dont want to spring for either store's plans you have to pay for, im just wondering about microsoft's coverage..Comment

Re: ebay 360 deal
It's better to spend 400 dollars on a system than to almost double that having to buy one twice. I don't buy games or systems off of EBAY unless it's from a gameseller. I bought a group of 30 dreamcast games for 40 bucks after the Dreamcast had shut down. I though that's too good to be true, but did it anyway. The seller emailed me and asked me what format CD I wanted the games put on. I immediately retracted the winning bid and reported him to EBAY for selling bootlegs. I've learned that in the world of EBAY, if it sounds too good to be true, it is.Comment
